I understand this is a new hotel, but it clearly wasn’t ready to open. Let me preface this by saying I’ve stayed in worse hotels in the U.S., but this experience was still incredibly disappointing because I had high hopes for them.
On day one, several rooms were flooded because of poor plumbing. The rooms themselves were very basic — only two towels, no trash bins, no toiletries (thankfully, I brought my own), and a TV that didn’t work. Tables were left dirty overnight, and dishes and beer bottles sat around the pool area well into the next morning. It seems no one cleans up in the evenings.
The tiled floors are a serious safety hazard. I nearly slipped every time I entered the bathroom and saw another guest’s child get hurt after slipping in the bathroom. You can even see grout residue poorly wiped across the walls. The bed had sand or something grimy. We had to redo the bed. The walls had layers of construction dust.
I genuinely want this hotel to succeed, but it doesn’t seem like management/owners are open to feedback or complaints. They need experienced hospitality management to show them the ropes, and they should seriously reconsider their contractors and possibly find new ones to fix the many mistakes and hazards that are still present.
I must also add that staff were great and I honestly did not want to make any complaints to them because it seemed like they were trying their best.
I hope they get better with time.
