Bang for the buck, if you’re looking for an inexpensive pillow to lay your head on at night, then this place is for you. If it’s luxury you’re after, keep looking. But, it was the best deal I found in the Georgetown area at very short notice. We are cruisers and had family come in. Our initial plan was to dingy back and forth from our boat. Then, of course, it looked like we would be expecting 30 knot winds. We decided to stay on land for their visit and knew we would be spending the bulk of our time away from the room. The pool was as billed. There is a washer and dryer, but it’s shared between the owner and a second apartment. There is a kitchen with very basic equipment—no butter knives, no toaster—but I’m sure those would have been provided had I asked. The bed was ok. The shower pretty dismal. All the faucets and shower head need vinegar. The water was hot for about a minute and a half, then cold showers. Again, if you need to stretch your vacay dollars, this is your place. I very much enjoyed chatting with Shenifer and meeting her young granddaughter. I would go back just to hang with them. That said, we also rented a van from Shenifer. Responsiveness was top notch until it was time to get our cash deposit back. We had to rearrange our day in order to accommodate her needs and still ended up waiting over an hour until her son brought us the deposit. Overall, in the same circumstances, I would rent here again. If I was looking for more amenities, I would go elsewhere.
