Paper thin walls. 3:30 am banging doors and crying next door. The staff were good and eager to help an old hard of hearing old man. Very clean. Good location near train station, restaurants, and historic old town

Do not book this hotel. Stay away. I was left without a hotel room at 9pm stranded. I had two confirmations from Expedia regarding my booking. One being a text confirmation the other an email. When I showed up to check in, the woman at the front desk said it’s canceled. I showed her my confirmation, she said that’s between you and the booking agency. I showed her both confirmations, she began screaming at me to speak Italian I’m in Italy. The entire city of Genoa was booked and I was left with no hotel room. I contacted Expedia and they informed me it was a confirmed booking and the hotel was to collect the payment in local currency. The hotel decided since it didn’t receive a credit card payment in advance to give my confirmed room away another person. This hotel should be taken off as an option on Expedia as they could do this again to another person.

Reasonably good plaice to stay.

Lovely staff in nice old style hotel. Bathroom was a bit small to be almost unworkable. Good location to the trains and plenty of good eateries around it. Though description of waterfront and bar was a bit of a stretch. But safe and friendly.

The hotel was vintage but clean however because of age the rooms were small and the décor was dated. The beds did not have too much firmness left in them and the walls were thin to the neighboring room and street noises. The staff, although limited in alternate languages, were hospitable and accommodating. Parking was non-existent at the hotel, although pricey private parking was within walking range. The hotel is on a one-way narrow road making it difficult to navigate for unloading purposes. The neighborhood was actual local Italian immersion!

Nice location, nice staff, OK breakfast (for 5 euro), but the hotel is not 3 stars. The internet works well, but lightbulbs were missing from fixtures, insufficient toilet paper, malfunctioning TV, no extra pillows. Clean, but a spartan 2 star accommodation, and thus overpriced at "3 stars."

Good Stay Near Train Station

Hotel is located near train station within 10 minute walk. Signs for hotel are posted. It is located next to camel. Hotel is about 15 walk to main downtown area. Great breakfast with variety if options. Friendly staff, map of downtown provided. Clean, functional room. No complaints, would stay again.

Great location minutes from Príncipe station

We had a lovely stay at the hotel, the staff were very friendly & welcoming. Via Bambi is a main route into the city, it's also very easy to get to the port area & old town all by foot. Genoa is a fabulous city to visit - thank you & well done. See you next trip. Would definitely stay again & recommend.

a stopover on the way

We were well pleased with this hotel - very clean, very efficient, staff willing to offer good suggestions & good directions for restaurants. The a/c & wifi were astonishing in their efficiency. Being close to the Principe train station was on the one hand terrific - 5 minute walk to track side - on the other hand a little concerning to be out late at night.
