Low rating is because the bed and pillows made sleeping comfortably very difficult, but because of the noise from the pub out side which went on until 00.00 on the Friday and 1am on the Saturday there wasn’t much chance of sleep before that anyway. I guess that is the down side of a central location, but they could soundproof the windows a bit better.

Initial check-in was smooth, but things went downhill once I reached my room. I had booked a queen bed, but the room I was given had two single beds. When I went back to reception to explain the issue, the receptionist was quite rude, tried to blame me for the mistake, and made me feel like I was an inconvenience for asking for the room type I’d actually paid for. I was told I could switch rooms the next day, but this was inconvenient and disrupted my stay. The noise was also quite bad — if you’re a light sleeper, definitely avoid a courtyard-view room. Overall, the experience wasn’t great, and I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Great location in the heart of Gdansk close to great restaurants and the old city. The hotel itself was fine. However, if you want a more authentic Poland experience, this felt very American. Very comfortable and reasonably priced so you can't go wrong there. Staff was great and the rooftop bar was a plus!
