We loved our stay here at Skybay Hotel! Our room was on the 14th floor overlooking the ocean and it was amazing! We will definitely try to stay here again, there was so much to do nearby and lots of restaurants/ cafes. 10/10 experience!

Definitely not a four stars hotel. Upon checking, noted bad urine odor from bathroom and also found some black mold growing inside bathroom walls. I let the front desk know about the problem but they didn’t seem to be too concerned, not even apologize from staff. Maybe it’s common issues? Anyway, I can’t recommend this hotel ($160 for a night) there are much cleaner hotels nearby.

A grand hotel with not so knowledgeable front desk clerk. I made a reservation for three, and the clerk was talking to me as if I made a reservation for two and brought an extra person at the last minute. She told me that "this time we will let go but next time there will be an extra charge." Anyway, the welcoming at the front desk didn’t go well as "welcoming" as it should be but I let it go. Since we didn’t get to the hotel until much later, we called the front desk to get some guidance for a place to eat. She said that every thing in the hotel is closed so if we need to get food, we had to go outside of the hotel. Once I came downstairs to explore the area, there were places in the hotel lobby that served food. I decided to try their dinner buffet following evening, located on the 20th floor of the hotel. I paid 120,000 korean won, about $110.00 per pserson. I was hoping to enjoy crab legs but was so disappointed with dry crab meat. Sashimi and sushi were good but galbee marinated beef were tough, and difficul to chew, Shrimp were overcooked. Definitely not worth spending that kind of money.

Bad management experience

The hotel itself was fine but management was appalling. We never expected to receive a call from the police during our family trip for something so ridiculous. Apparently, someone’s car was scratched in the parking lot and they wanted to find the perpetrator. Fine. But hotel management called every car owner who exited the parking lot at the supposed “time of the crime” and we also got the call as well. We know we didn’t do it because all the family members were in the car and confirmed we didn’t bump into anyone and just in case we even checked the outside of the car to see if there were any scratches. None. What’s even funnier was that they don’t have security cameras in the parking garages so they have no evidence if the accident even happened in the garage but still called everyone. The craziest thing is that we even got a call from the police a couple days later. How and why did they even get our information?? We had called management before and clarified that we don’t believe it was our car and thought that was done with but the police call came and we even sent them a picture of our car. The whole situation seemed very pointless. I feel like the hotel could have managed the situation better and not send out our personal information without consent.

Lovely stay with mom

Satisfactory visit! Clean and new facilities with infinity pool access (comes with warm water in winter), in-building convenience store on top of the usual restaurants and cafes, and a skyview bar with amazing views and delicious cocktails. Comfortable room with in-suite iPad to order room service, ask for extra towels or water, and to do self checkout (very convenient). Easy access to the beach and a hugeeee lakeside park overseeing the beautiful mountain range. Close enough to the city. Parking was a little tight though, but manageable.

We came to Skybay with our Korean friend for a wonderful adventure. We opted for the lake view room, while our friends had the ocean view, both are spectacular. That night it was so cold, that we decided to stay in the hotel and had chicken and beer I the dining area, the chicken and beer were great, but it was sitting and chitchat with our friend, that’s priceless. This is a great hotel, but forewarn to book amenities in advance, like pool, sauna, breakfast, etc. these are not included with the room stay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, we wish to thank the staff for courteous hospitality.
