Great location, rooms were cleaned everyday and, all staff are friendly and welcoming but particular praise goes to the young girl Olivia, who works in the bar and restaurant, she is always smiling and happy, and never seems to rest constantly being attentive to customers, a real credit to the hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel three times over the last month, and will be staying again over the next couple of months. The hotel is in a nice location surrounded by countryside and is very quiet, the leisure facilities are excellent as are the dining options, but best of all it’s the staff who make this hotel well worth the visit, all staff are welcoming and helpful and are always available if you need anything, and a special mention to Olivia the young lady who works in the bar and grill of an evening, she is always smiling and happy, she literally never stops, constantly making sure guests and patrons have everything they want, a lovely hotel with lovely staff.

The initial reception check in wasn't ideal, I'd arrived a little early, the room wasn't ready which is fair, but there wasn't particularly a warm welcome or a suggestion of have a cuppa somewhere whilst you wait, I'd asked if the rugby was on anywhere as I'd been keen to watch the second half of the world cup semi final but was just told no. I'd ended up leaving and returning later. Again it wasn't particularly a warm welcome, I was checked in then advised if I wanted to use the spa I needed to pay for that, when I queried it I was advised that was cheap. However it's disappointing that the use isn't inclusive of the hotel stay, which it has been in the many years I've stayed at this hotel before, and given that there are other similar hotels in the area it would make me choose more carefully in future. That aside the leisure facilities are perfect for a short break and the hotel offers a great location for exploring the area. The restaurant has been updated and has a lovely view, the food was pricey but delicious.

Very dated room, wanted a room with a bath and was not an issue on arrival, swapped my room for me, however you would expect a shower where you can stand up. Being 6ft and sitting in a bath because the shower is attached to the bath and it reaches 60cm from the bath wasn’t ideal. Dusty lamps at the side of the bed

Very run-down place. Bathrooms were old and tacky. The restaurant floor was sticky and smelled weird. The food was great, although, during breakfast the plates were dirty and the cutlery also.

The setting of the hotel was great but the hotel requires updating and modernisation. I booked the executive suit , the decor ,paintwork and room seem all to be an off yellow colour. The carpets spelt off and dogs smells were off putting. The button on the jacuzzi fell off and the steam room smelt unclean and the sauna wasn’t working. Reception was very nice and welcoming.

Liked the staff, the area and the building itself. Though found it to be dated, the room was a bit too warm and dated. We were given a disibility room for some reason despite not booking one. The plug hole in the shower was grotty and the hot tap was scorching hot and the cold tap was warm.
