Waterfront Getaway

We loved our stay in this spacious house on the water. I drank my coffee on the patio every morning and relaxed with the sounds of nature and watching the boats go by. It's in a great neighborhood with a tiny swamp along the way. Michelle was a helpful, welcoming and responsive host. The kids loved having their own bedrooms and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. I hope to be back soon.

Excellent getaway and by far the best accommodations in that area!

The property and house were very clean and easy to access. Even though it rained almost the whoke time, it was still a peaceful and serene stay. Highly recommend and will be back!

Great place to get away

The property is wonderful! The home is perfect for our family of 4, it would be fine for a few more. Our family really enjoyed our stay. It is near a few good restaurants. I would definitely return for longer trip.

Even better then expected

My family was looking for a peaceful place to reconnect as a family. This house was perfect. Michelle was a wonderful host from the day I booked our reservation. She reached out and offered suggestions for things to do. We went on a swamp tour with Skell’s Outdoor Adventures at her suggestion and I highly recommend that as well! He is a really great guy and we had an awesome time! The only thing we can say about the actual house is that the master bedroom windows could use some shades or full curtains. It’s really bright in the morning and woke us up early after staying up late. FYI, watch out for boaters on the River. We had an unfortunate experience with a boater who zoomed by way too close to the dock and pulled both of my husbands fishing poles in the water. He offered to help or pay for them and then we never saw him again. We did recover one pole, but the other one is somewhere in the river still. If anyone fishes a pole out, let me know @ aferg0931@gmail.com. That had nothing to do with Michelle or the house, though. And she was super sweet when I told her what happened, offering to help however she could. I highly recommend this house and would love to make this a regular vacation spot for my family.

Good spot for a relaxing long weekend. Very clean. Well-stocked bathrooms and kitchen - all the pots and pans you'll need. Good dock and convenient ramp to put in. We had a great stay!

Nice stay in Ascension Parish

We stayed here on holiday for 6 days and it was perfect. It's a really beautiful place to spend some resting time with family. We've done a lot of activities between Baton Rouge and New Orleans and maybe did not take enough time to enjoy the house and the neighborhood. We could certainly stay here for much longer. The only issue for me is that the mattress was really too soft and I've got back pain. But then I always enjoyed my cup of coffee on a rocking chair along the river and I was ready for the day. Thanks for sharing your house.

Escape the city!

Nice and roomy

We loved staying in Michelle's beautiful 3 bedroom house in French settlement Louisiana. I loved the porch swing. My 11 year old has lots of fun learning how to fish with her pawpaw. My 21 year old flew down and stayed for a couple nights and met her 26 year old aunt and they had a great time time in New Orleans. We had a little issue with the electronic lock on the property but Michelle and her husband were extremely apologetic and took care of the issue quickly and professionally. We would stay there again. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful house.

French Settlement River House

We stayed at the property while we were responding to the Hurricane Ida Catastrophe cleanup and restoration. The owners were very nice and accommodating. I wish they had a location for every deployment no matter where that may be. Fantastic owners and Fantastic stay!!!!

It's a quiet little getaway.

We enjoyed our time here. We absolutely loved this house. The property manager was quick to answer any question I had. Its quite and secluded but not to far from town. The kids stayed on the pier fishing.
