We booked the property for a long weekend with to allow my 96-year-old wheelchair-bound mother to enjoy the beach and sunny weather... or as she put it, "To feel her toes in the sand again!"The wheelchair accessible house is perfectly set up for a larger family with varying needs and levels of activity. The wraparound porch was perfect for watching the morning sunrise with a cup of coffee from one side and the sunset in the evening from the other. The house is extremely well maintained, clean and ready for whatever time one would like to spend. The description of the house and the communication from the owners left no questions as to what supplies and other amenities we needed to bring. The actual beachfront behind the house is separated by a rock breakwater so only accessible by climbing over the rocks, but the community access to the public beach is only a 1000' walk down the road. We used the convenient beach parking to more easily move the beach "stuff" as well as my Mom and her beach wheelchair. The 4pm check-in time was perfect for our group as several of us were driving in from out of town. The 10am check-out time on Sunday might seem a bit early but is set so that the host's cleaning crew can get in to clean and sanitize the large property before the next guests arrive. Later checkouts can be accommodated upon request. All in all it was a great weekend getaway for our family and the house was met all our needs. We'll be back!!
