This was an ok place to stay (family of 4) - two parents and two adult children. Clean, you check-in at the bar and they were very friendly and helpful when we needed a very early cab to airport. However, it is quite noisy to try and sleep at night and seems to be a place for much younger adults, especially with the bar below. First night, there was no hot water (may have been due to maintenance being performed on building). Thankfully, next two mornings, we had hot showers. Beds were not great; make sure the slats underneath are evenly spaced. Makes for a much better nights sleep.

When we arrived our room had not been cleaned. We returned to the desk, they apologized, and issued us a different room. There were some used towels hanging in the bathroom, but everything else was clean. We had requested 2 beds when booked thru Expedia, but property said they didn’t receive that information, and would have cleaning staff correct it the next day. Cleaning staff was kind and fixed the beds for us. We purchased breakfast with our stay. It was simple, but adequate, and worth the convenience.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Ostello Bello. There were literally film crews coming to check out the location while I was there — it’s genuinely that great. Won’t be the most comfortable bed of your life but for a hostel? Fabulous.

Very poor management and willing to scam you.

This was the worst stay I’ve had not because the accommodation itself was poor but because of the staff and management of this place. there was a train strike my first day and I wasn’t able to get to Florence from where I was. I contacted the company immediately to let them know, again in person when I arrived and again before I left to triple check they would refund me for the day I didn’t/wasn’t able to come. They said it was no problem but it would take 4 days or so. Of course once I left they no longer honoured that. As well when I was there- I bought a weeks worth of groceries to budget for my stay and I labelled it as the woman in the kitchen instructed me to, only an hour later I found it had all been thrown out. I went to the staff and a girl admitted she threw it away and offered no solution instead said she would give me a piece of toast? I had a medical condition which required me to eat often and have food with medication which I explained and they still just said “sorry about that”.
