Property is super convenient and a great choice if you want someplace quick and easy to sleep before you jump back outdoors! Great proximity to Pikes National Forest and Mt. Sherman. Otto's next door is an amazing diner! Fantastic food!!!

Although the room was fairly clean it definitely could use some modern updates. Everything in it looked and felt as it was a left over from the sixties. It could definitely use a fresh coat of paint. It smelled musty. However, the staff couldn’t have been more fabulous. Cute area of town. Easy to get to.

Great place if you’re on the road and need a cool spot to get some rest. This is an old school motel in a small mountain town that is clean, comfortable, with a great and friendly staff. And a great sandwich shop right next door. Highly recommend.

BED BUGS

BED BUGS. THIS PLACE HAS BED BUGS. Stayed here one night. Didn’t see the bed bug until we were about to check out in the morning. It was crawling on the wall. Our friend got multiple bites on his back. Instead of having a relaxing weekend we now have to take all the necessary precautions to make sure they don’t get into our homes, which involves throwing away EVERYTHING that can’t be washed or dryed in a machine. We stayed in room 43 and were only in the motel for about 8 hrs total. There are other reviews with people having the same issue and this motel doesn’t seem to be doing anything about it or warning guests. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT BED BUGS.

No air conditioning

The hotel was nice enough and conveniently located. People were nice. The only problem was there is no air conditioning. I was told that they didn't need air up there as the weather is mild, and you can just open a window, which is true enough. The weather was perfect. Unfortunately, the only window is right along the front walkway, which is now wide open to everybody walking by. So much for privacy. Also, if smoke is a problem for you, it comes billowing in from the people smoking out front. So, leaving the window open wasn't an option for my daughter-in-law with asthma who also hates the smell of cigarettes. Other than that, it was lovely.
