No room -l said they don't use ebookers!?!

By the time they finished phoning their friends to find us a room elsewhere it was late and we had to pay their friends road more. They said they were booked out since 3 days before and that they don't use ebookers. There were still 2 rooms available at their hotel on ebookers that evening.

On arrival they where in the middle of painting and after checking in we walked up the very narrow stairs and I got my shirt covered in paint.Hot water was hit and miss.The lights in the room where really dim so it was impossible to read. I personally would never stay there again I have stayed in better and cheaper places in Essaouira. Now that being said there was a young couple there who tried extremely hard to try and make our stay more pleasant and their breakfast was good.

Nice riad close to SupraTours station

Nice riad in the medina, close to bus station. Owners/managers/housekeeper are pleasant and attentive to things needing repair (like the shower head and the lamp). Breakfast was good and served on the rooftop deck.

See view from the terrace

The staff was pleasant, and there was a sea view from the terrace. It was very cute inside, but the beds were rock hard. I like a firm mattress, so it is saying something when I complain about a bed being hard. During this trip, we visited Fes and Marrakesh also, and Essouira was by far our favorite location. The medina is a little less crowded. The shops are a little less pushy... And it has the ocean.

Smashing Riad

In a quiet back street the hotel was lovely. Staff did everything they could to make your stay a pleasant one and breakfast on the terrace was excellent.

a bit disappointed by the mini-suite

I have booked the mini-suite in order to spend two nights with my wife in Essaouira. First of all, the service was excellent, the personnel are very kind and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. The condition of the Riad was good (not very good but good), the furniture seemed a bit old but that's ok. The room was very clean but it was very tight and not well ventilated (there is only one little window above the bed, and no window in the bathroom). Also, the wi-fi signal was so weak that we couldn't use it in the room, you can only use it five meters away of the reception desk. The Riad location was good, right in the old medina and close to the main avenue. Finally, this Riad is fair, I was really disappointed by the bathroom, the tightness of the room and the wi-fi. But as I mentionned there were some good points which give this Riad a good value for money.

Hotel's location is easy to find

Hotel's location is easy to find, there are notification signs when you enter town's Medina. It's very convenient if you travel with bus, because wen you get out the Suprabus final station, you'll just need to walk 3 minutes till entrance to Medina and there you'll already find some notification signs on the walls. That way you can avoid those money mendicants who offer their help, when you in reality you don't need it.

Wonderful Experience

Lovely Riad in Essaouira. Great price and fantastic service. The staff were lovely and our room was gorgeous. The view from the roof was astounding. Only issue was that it was a bit difficult to find at first, the map provided was very off. Other than that, great great great.

The staff was very helpful, breakfast was okay. If you like peace and quiet this would not be your place, however it is very well located. Close to the beach, the medina and the bus station. Personally would recommend it.

Cosy riad

This little riad in Essaouira is very cosy in a quiet area of the medina. It is an old building in character with the location. White walls with coloured tiles and furnishings. It has smallish rooms with en-suite walk-in shower and toilet. Each floor has communal lounge and there is a lovely roof terrace with sofas and chairs to lounge around catching the last rays of sun or the first while you have breakfast. Staff are very friendly and it feels more like being a guest in someone's house than a hotel. Location is excellent for accessing the beach and for visiting the numerous restaurants and shops in the medina.

Lovely staff and great location!

Good points: Staff were fantastic- spoke English, provided a detailed map of the medina and helped with every request we had. We asked to change rooms after the first night- no problem. Fabulous Moroccan hospitality. Great location inside the medina and very close to the beach, terrace has sea view. Breakfast was good. Room 5 is lovely. Extended our stay in the same room with no hassle. Drinks, meals and beauty treatments are moderately priced. Crticisms: We had to pay for our stay on arrival. We were given a room on the terrace (room 7- same price as all others) which was small, had ants and fleas- not reflective of the rest of the riad. We asked to change after one night- moved to an excellent room immediately. So overall, very happy. Riad is reccomended, just stay away from room 7!

Riad calme et idéalement placé dans la médina

Ce Riad est idéalement placé dans la médina d'Essaouira. On peut laisser sa voiture dans le parking à proximité de la porte bab Marrakech puis marcher 5 minutes pour atteindre le Riad. Le Riad est très beau, avec tout le charme des riad au Maroc. Il est également très calme. Nous étions en famille et avions réservé deux chambres qui étaient plutôt propres et bien décorées. Le petit déjeuner servi sur le toit terrasse est copieux et varie tous les jours. Le seul petit problème de ce riad est qu'il est pourvu d'une verrière fermant le patio qui ne permet pas une ventilation correcte et par conséquent retient l'humidité. Dans l'une des chambres que nous avions réservée cela se ressentait beaucoup. Cette verrière peut s'ouvrir mais elle ne l'était pas lors de notre séjour. Mais ce n'est pas cela qui a gâche notre séjour dans ce magnifique et paisible riad.

Geniales Hotel mit super Personal

Ich war mit einem Freund im Riad Etoile de Magador und es hat uns beiden super gefallen! Das Frühstück war jeden morgen Frisch zubereitet und uns auf die Dachterasse gebracht worden. Zudem half uns das Personal beim Organisieren einer Quad Tour.
