Quiet and ideal for resting as a family, but also suitable for visiting nearby cities such as Porto, Braga, Guimarães and for walks or cycling in nature, or even some more radical experiences such as kite surfing, surfing, paddle surfing. 24h pool available and beach only 5 minutes away. Supermarkets, hospital and ATM at 5 minutes walk. Excellent fully equipped kitchen, but very nice restaurants with traditional food, just a few miles away.

Review of property in Fão, Portugal

The property is a very well-appointed, spacious property and very clean. The property is situated in a residential complex. However, it is a duplex property with another property above. We, unfortunately experienced noisy neighbors. We mentioned this to the owners, so they are aware of this. Apparently there is a rule in the complex - no noise after 10pm! Beds are on the ‘hard’ side and electricity trips when using more than one appliance in the kitchen! The property is only 5 min drive from a beautiful beach - Ofir.. Porto, Braga and Viana do Castelo all within a 20-40 min drive on Motorways and well worth a visit. A lovely drive into Spain ( Vigo & Santiago de Compostela) is also a possibility from this base. Not much to see or do in Fão itself. Definitely would need a car for this property. Pool is a lovely communal pool. Weather in this area can be mixed. Communication with the owner’s family was very good.
