Excelente hotel

Esta es ya la 3ra o 4ta vez que nos hospedamos en éste hotel, es uno de nuestros favoritos por varias razones. Su ubicación en la calle primera cercano a muchos lugares, su seguridad, buen trato del personal, confort y limpieza de las habitaciones. Ojalá agregaran Mini refrigeradores en algunas habitaciones con costo extra, es lo único que nos hace falta en nuestra estancia, y que agreguen más toallas en los baños, dan muy pocas para 2 personas.

The first night the smoke detector kept chirping the next morning we went to breakfast and the electronic door lock battery went dead but unnoticeable to us the patio door was never lock to provide us security because the room attendant just slide the door open.

Lovely place

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Walking distance to everything. Hotel restaurant had free breakfast and it was delicious, with the option to order from the menu. Definitely recommended and hope to visit again.

The staff here is incredible especially Jaquelina. She is very knowledgeable and helpful and speaks English. I am reviewing this an American and we are spoiled. The rooms have been updated but the craftsmanship is not what an American would expect for a five star hotel. The tiles are laid sloppy, the doors do not seal. The block over plays loud music every night until 9 pm. But the location to the macron and shopping and excellent restaurant can’t be beat. You must spring for the pastries at the otherwise free breakfast. They are superb and the dining room is elegant. The breakfast food was also good especially liked the chillaquilles. The bathroom is like a 3 star. They are trying. Modern sink but there are exposed bricks and sloppy plumbing below, sloppy tile work and a shower that just sprays a light rain. It’s Mexico and everyone is trying, happy and super helpful. I’d stay there again.

We stayed for 2 nights for a kids birthday party nearby. We picked this spot due to price and proximity to party. The rooms are very small. The bathroom was very small, with a tiny shower that is very slick and a toilet seat that is also very small. Our heater didn't work. We dealt with it the 1st night and asked for help on the 2nd night. It wouldn't work and they did offer to move us to another room. We didn't want the hassle, so we bundled up again. The breakfast is wonderful! (We joked that it made the room better..) This place is OK for a night or 2. It is very conveniently located. It's on the edge of downtown and by the cruise ships so expect downtown noise. Especially on the weekend. The front desk and housekeeping staff were very nice and helpful. I was initially overcharged, but they caught the error before I did and took care of it. Would I stay again? Maybe in a pinch. It is what it is.

The Hotel “ Posada El Rey Sol” it’s absolutely amazing, great location, outstanding customer service, Lorena was grest, I spoke to her before arriving to the hotel, and she was very professional & kind, Breakfast was so delicious & the emblemátic Restaurat “El Rey Sol” was beautifly decorated with Christmas and the staff was súper nice.

We really liked the area around the hotel and how conveniently located it is around many shops, restaurants, and bars. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. The staff was great and we had a wonderful time.
