Tucked along a quiet creek in Emerald Isle, NC, this one-of-a-kind coastal cottage is less “perfect beach house” and more magical surf shack with personality. Expect peaceful water views, salty breezes, and the kind of setting where you might spot herons, coastal birds, and—if you’re lucky—a family of otters passing by.
This is not a brand-new, polished home—and that’s exactly the point. It has quirks, character, and a laid-back charm that makes it feel like a true Crystal Coast escape.

House is absolutely adorable and has everything you need. It’s perfect for an adult getaway. We went with our adult children to explore the area. We enjoyed the pool, the beach is less than a five minute walk and it’s a super quiet neighborhood. We were very comfortable all week and loved watching fish jump in the water behind us and hearing all the birds above. A peaceful and perfect week for this family in a great little house

We had a great stay at Surf Cove! The house was adorable and had all the things that we needed for our stay. There was plenty of room and having the pool was great. It was a short walk to the beach and fun watching the tide change from the back dock. The house was very clean and the communication and check in was really easy. This rental had the best surf beachy vibe and we had a great time! We would stay here again.

Great Family Getaway

The host was amazing, helpful. and welcoming! We had an amazing getaway! The heated pool was great as well as the outdoor firepit and Kayaking. A short walk to the beach and the house was in a nice private spot. We definitely would recommend this house and will most likely return in the future!

The house is a cozy, peaceful , sweet beach cottage that I never wanted to leave! Easy beach access, thoughtful touches and a very cool retro vibe. It’s a nice place and the amenities are wonderful! It could use more comfortable seating. The couch and all the furniture is very low on the floor and hard to get up off of. The beds sleep good but the king bed downstairs again is low on the floor. Melissa was good to work with.

We Love Surf Cove!

What an amazing vacation! The house was perfect! Love the decor, the location, the short walk to beach. The pool was wonderful! Anything we could possibly need was already provided. Melissa was very quick to respond and amazingly helpful. Hope we have to pleasure to stay at Surf Cove again!
