We booked a stay downtown for the weekend in Ely. We arrive and they had double booked us. We brought our side by side to do some riding over the weekend, and be able to walk for dinner and drinks and such. So they gave us our only option to stay at a cabin in the woods 10 minutes away. This changed our whole weekend plans. Now we would have to trailer into town, cannot walk for dinner, cannot have drinks, find parking for our trailer, it was a nightmare and not at all what we had planned for. The cabin was nice that they put us in, but you couldn’t lock the sliding door so we had to put our valuables in our vehicle daily. When we arrived after a day of riding Friday night back at the cabin, the power was out. Couldn’t get ahold of anyone, tried to find the breaker box and check everything. It was hiding behind a picture. Couldn’t shower. Couldn’t see to make dinner, no flashlights, candle that was all the way burnt down. So we basically just had to go to bed. No playing cards and having a few beers since we couldn’t all day because we had to drive. It was just issue after issue and the property manager/owner doesn’t seem to think as a customer we should be compensated at all for ruining our weekend and changing it all for us because they gave us a place to stay! Like I said the place was nice but the overall experience was terrible. Would not recommend these people because if there’s an issue you will not be taken care of in a proper manner.
