The view from the balcony is absolutely spectacular. Unfortunately, this is about the only positive thing about the property. The “finished basement” does not act as a 4th bedroom. It has a sleeper sofa and doubles as a game room. There is nowhere to put away clothes, either. The master bedroom is upstairs and has no door, AKA no privacy. There is no dresser in the master, either. As stated on a previous review, the carpets are very dirty and in need of replacing. The railing to the upstairs is loose and presents a major safety hazard if someone really needs to use it. The slider leading out to the patio is very hard to open and feels like it might break at any moment. The kitchen is tiny and has no pantry, so any non-refrigerated food we bought had to be put on chairs due to the limited counter space. The furniture is all very old and uncomfortable. The couch absolutely needs replacing; the cushions don’t even fit on it properly anymore. A heat lamp and grill were provided, so we were very much looking forward to grilling steaks on NYE and dining outside. Imagine our surprise when we went to use the grill and there was no propane. We brought over 200 worth of steaks back home and had to eat Mac ‘n cheese for our NYE dinner because restaurants were either already booked full or closed. This was our last straw and we attempted to contact the host through VRBO directly, but she was unresponsive. Worst VRBO experience I’ve ever had.

Here’s a more personal version that feels genuine but still fits well for a public VRBO review:⸻Rating: We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in Ellijay! It had the perfect balance of rustic charm and comfort — everything was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully set up. The kitchen was well stocked, which made it easy to cook our own meals and just enjoy the place. The view from the deck was absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again.

The cabin was very functional but the carpets were dirty and very spotted. Housekeeping is not taking care of the screened porches. There were many spider webs and dead bugs. On the VRBO listing this house shows 4 bedrooms which is not true. We made it work for our girl trip but we were very disappointed to have to share rooms!!

This home was a perfect place to celebrate our daughter's 30th birthday. We were blessed with perfect weather so we were able to enjoy the great outdoor space. The view from the deck was gorgeous. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The house was equipped with everything we needed to prepare a few meals. I will note that the only real dining space is in the covered screened in porch which may be tough in the colder weather. Also, the backyard is very steep if you have little kids. However, it was perfect for our stay with adult "kids".

Restful Retreat

Our family of 5 adults enjoyed a relaxing and restful stay! The house was cozy, but with plenty of places to escape and/ or congregate. The neighborhood was peaceful and despite having next door neighbors, felt secluded with all the surrounding trees. The screened in porches and deck were fabulous with a wonderful view of the lake and beautiful sunrises.There was mixed options of soft and medium-firm beds. The hot tub was wonderful, the tempature being just right. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, this is the place for you!

I wish that I could post our conversation between Lisa and I. However I can't but we were accused of being filthy but I sent pictures to VRBO because she wouldn't accept them and they said that the will reach out to her concerning a refund.

We use VBRO quite often and this canin exceeded our expectations. The cabin was lovely with all the amenities of home. The views were spectacular. Couldn’t have asked for a better canin. Lisa was awesome and very responsive.

Beautiful!

This property was cozy, warm, and inviting. It was well maintained and the views were amazing! The area itself was very quiet. The property was fenced in, but the back was a little steep. However, with the amazing balcony and deck areas, we spent much of our time inside. Communication with the owner was quick and efficient. It was definitely our home away from home. Our family enjoyed our time here.

Family getaway

The house is perfectly setup with gathering spaces and individual little hideaways. We have four children 18-23 and everyone had a great time which can be rare! The views are amazing!

My family, friends & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the Christmas holiday! Beautiful cabin with a spectacular view of the lake & mountains. The game room was a fan favorite. Cabin was fully stocked & decorated beautifully for the holiday. The host was very responsive & check in/out were a breeze. We’d definitely stay here again!
