My wife and I loved this place. The interior of the home in the pictures on VRBO look exactly like that in real life. The hot tub worked well, and we enjoyed it both nights. This property goes right up to the water, and it's in a location where the water rolls over the rocks. So, the audio experience is just as nice as the visual! My wife was out at the gazebo often, journaling and just taking in the nature experience. We didn't really take out any of the outdoor games, fishing poles or anything like that. We were there to relax and experience a little bit of downtown Ellijay. Honestly, this home on the river is like something out of a movie. You won't regret it! The owner was very attentive to our concerns too, of which there were few (thankfully). Amazing experience-can't recommend it highly enough!

The Dragonfly Den was exactly as described. Very cozy secluded cabin right on the river's edge. The host was very helpful and responded very fast. Very clean and updated throughout. The kitchen was super stocked with everything you could need to cook anything you want. The beds are super comfy with premium linens and towels. Flat screen TV's in both bedrooms as well as Big Screen over the crackling fireplace. We're from FL so the fire was a nice feature. We went in January for a chilly getaway. Sit out on the deck and have your hot morning coffee to the sound of the river waters right in front of you. You will also see ALOT of deer strolling through the neighborhood. We fed them some apple slices. There are so many amenities on the property, mostly for temps a bit warmer than when we went. Even though it's in a secluded spot down by the river, shopping and dining and other activities are close by. Your stay also includes use of the Community Rec Center which has a huge indoor pool, Gym, Arcade and mini golf. A nice plus! We had a great escape and would definitely return. Highly recommend The Dragonfly Den!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dragonfly Den. The setting alone is special—nestled in the mountains right along the river, it’s the kind of place that instantly helps you slow down and breathe. The home itself is exceptional: thoughtfully designed, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail felt intentional and welcoming, making it easy to relax and truly enjoy the space.The Russell’s communication was truly on point—clear, timely, and helpful from start to finish—which made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. Whether we were enjoying the peaceful river views or cozying up inside, Dragonfly Den delivered on comfort, relaxation, and overall experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene mountain getaway.

Really enjoyed the tranquility and peacefulness of this natural environment surrounded by wildlife along with all that this home offered. Such cozy vibes with lots of options of things to do and enjoyment to be had for all ages. We really enjoyed all the ameneties that we got to utilize and should've honestly booked an extra day just to fully chill and appreciate all this property had to offer to maximize the opportunities it had to offer had we not been busy ever day of our stay exploring the local and nearby thngs we did. The beds were so cozy and soft too making it hard to leave bed, Loved a nightly fire indoors utilizing South Elijay Firewood which has a convenient grab and go pull up kiosk with great prices including kindling etc as well which was great! We enjoyed playing the provided board games making memories while sipping on our daily hot cocoa all around the home with so many seating arrangements both indoors and outdoors. Enjoyed some lawn games and smores outdoors also utilizing the fire pit. It was too cold to attempt the water activities so highly recommend visiting in warmer months if that's more ideal. Fully stocked kitchen made cooking with our groceries we picked up at a local Aldi super helpful. Despite being way back into the neighborhood with a bit of a windy and tricky pathway taking some time, the views are beautiful plus we wanted a more remote location. Highly reccomend! The friendly and helpful communication from host was superb!

Absolute Bliss

Our stay at the cabin was absolutely incredible. It was more than just a cabin - it was a luxurious mansion right on the water. Driving along, we passed by many beautiful homes near the water, but our cabin in Ellijay stood out as the best. The attention to detail was impeccable, with every amenity you could possibly need and more. Unlike other rentals that provide only the basics, this cabin had top-quality supplies, making cooking a breeze. Our host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, and we are already looking forward to returning. If you're searching for a cabin that offers luxury, fun, and relaxation, look no further. From the high-quality bedding and towels to the endless amenities like kayaks, indoor and outdoor games, fire pit, swings, rocking chairs, hot tub, and hammock, this cabin has it all. Our family rated this stay a 20 out of 10, and we can't wait to experience it all over again. The memories we made at this cabin will last a lifetime, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.

Peaceful retreat!

Whether you are looking for fun, camaraderie by the fire pit, a little fun playing outdoor games, or a quiet swing by the waterfront, THIS is the place to experience it all. The beds suck you in and make you sleep like a baby! The kitchen was outfitted with everything. The hot tub will relax you. There are enough beds for many people to come. The homeowner communicates with you, makes the check-in easy, and addresses any concerns immediately.

Wow

Where to start? First off the property is beautiful. Right on the water. Flowing right outside the back door. The inside is great. You walk in the door and can smell the wood from the cabin. Everything looked great. The WiFi works great and the tvs are nice. The hot tub was a great pleasure on a cold day. I would highly recommend staying here.

PERFECTION

This house was the best rental i ever rented. The owner prioritizes the customers needs. The house was extremely clean not even a spot of dust in a corner any where. All the pots and pans and utensils you could ever need. Everything was absolutely perfect. From the lay out and all the games and activities. The hot tub was well maintained and relaxing at night. The views of the river were picture perfect. Access to tubes were a bonus. The beds were the most comfortable we've ever slept in. I can't say enough good things about this place! We are already planning our next trip back here. The owner is very accommodating and easy to communicate with. This was the best getaway ever we didn't even leave the house except once to go to town. 10/10 rating isn't even high enough! Thanks for every thoughtful accommodation!

Warm and Inviting

My husband and I were extremely pleased with our stay. The cabin is warm and inviting and makes you feel at home. The beds and bedding were so comfortable, and I've had 2 back surgeries. Everything was clean and smelled nice...it wasn't musty. They provide tons of blankets to curl up with by the fire or while reading, plenty of books for adults and children, and games for the family. The kitchen was one of the best stocked rentals I've ever had. The "neighborhood" is pretty with loads of dear everywhere, 5 of them wandered into the back yard all at once while we were there! The roads through the neighborhood are pretty squirrely but nothing our Corvette couldn't handle. On the down side, it takes about 12-15 minutes to get to the cabin from the gated entrance. Like I said, it's a pretty drive, just be sure you have everything from the store and plan your outings with that extra time in mind. There's room for at least 3-4 cars. While we were there it was somewhat rainy so I can't comment too much about the outdoor toys. The river was so relaxing to listen to. I did notice part of the yard is completely fenced with a gate, this is great if you have little kiddos and they want to play without the worry of them being near the river. The owners have also ensured that even the deck has a small "gate" you have to go through in order to get to the yard. One other thing to mention, the front door locks every time it shuts...like a hotel door. Otherwise, we WILL be back at some point!!!

Amazing place to relax

We loved this cabin, the whole experience was amazing, you literally have the river on you back yard to your self, bunch of games for the kids, nice fire pit and many other things.. you will find everything you need to have incredible memories with the family..
