Quick stop in National Park

Great stay. No major issues. Clean and private location. Host was very accommodating and helpful. Forrest was great!Had all that we needed! Pizza place in town was great!3rd bedroom is not quite what we expected (description correct, but pic wasn’t shown on site) but we made it work with no real issue. Pleasant stayTip during hot summer days: we put the portable fans next to the upstairs AC vents which seemed to help cool down the bedrooms better.

Excellent location and property but not adequate for 7 people

Very beautiful property and location, just dissapointed that it was listed for 7 people in VRBO while it really has 2 bedrooms (that can sleep 4 comfortably) plus one additional storage type room with two benches which can sleep two more but not in a very comfortable way especially if you have any type of claustrophobia. There is not really a space for 7th person. Three of us basically slept in the living room where the TV is (one on the couth, two on the floor). Except that issue, everything else is great.

Clean and comfortable

We stayed here while visiting Shenandoah National Park. The beds were very comfortable and the kids liked the "closet" room. The kitchen had everything we needed, and being able to do laundry was very helpful after sweaty and dirty hikes. We loved looking out the window and seeing the cows!

BEAUTIFUL property and had everything we needed for our stay. It was a little walk down to the water to view it but not easily accessed for fishing or direct water access, there is a bunch of trees and brush in the way. We had an awesome time exploring and our dog enjoyed it too. Would definitely rent again if in the area.

Spring Break Vacation

The house and property was peacful and secluded. Our kids enjoyed playing in the yard. We loved the bunk beds being in a room attached to ours as our young kids still want to be close to us at bedtime. Would reccomend to anyone wanting a quiet, slow vacation.

perfect snow tubing getaway

My family loved the farmhouse! The land it sits on is amazing, with river frontage and views from the house and yard of Blue Ridge, and Massanutten. The house is well preserved making it a private superb gem of the valley.

Love this Farmhouse

This was our fifth time staying at this adorable farmhouse! Very cozy and clean and minutes away from Massanutten. Typically we drop the kids off to snowboard and we go explore the neighboring towns! Cute wineries, a lavender farm, and JMU near by!

What a wonderful escape in the beautiful countryside! We loved our stay at the charming Farmhouse. The house itself was well stocked, clean, and spacious. The beds were so comfy! Plenty of places for our family to sprawl out. The yard was big and it was fun to see the cows in the meadow and walk down to the river. The host was great and responded quickly. Located near hiking, ski resort, and Harrisonburg. Great property!!!!

4th stay here!

This was our 4th stay here - the kids always have a blast! We had planned to come in the summer but Hurricane Debbie derailed our plans. Forrest was extremely helpful and we were able to make it down in November when the kids had a break from school. As always, the location can’t be beat. We can’t wait to return!

Good location; 2.5 bdrms at best

This was a great location to visit Shenandoah National Park for a few days. It was a 15 minute drive for us to the Swift Run entrance. The farm itself is peaceful & beautiful! Our kids loved the cows out front, and we enjoyed Star viewing each night. I think 3 bedrooms is misleading… the 3rd “bedroom” is a large closet/attic off of the master bedroom, with wooden pallet beds. It was ok for my elementary age kids, but if I’d had teens or other adults expecting an actual bedroom with comfortable beds, we would’ve been disappointed. But overall it was a good stay!

Wonderful stay at the farmhouse. We had a great long weekend with grandparents. The house was clean and perfect for our purposes. The cows were fun for our girls to “talk” to each morning. The location couldn’t be better and the quiet serenity of the house was very welcome

Nice place, bad neighbor

Property is fine - the house is clean and had great views of the mountains. Very unique to have a 3-minute walk to the riverside. The neighbor is very rude and unpleasant. We ended our visit early after encountering him as we were taking a walk along the driveway. We communicated with the owner about the situation, and he was responsive and refunded us part of our stay.

Perfect Family Getaway

We loved the cute farmhouse and it was super clean and perfect for our getaway. Our dog enjoyed the house and fields as well. We explored the caverns and hiked in Shenandoah. Very close to these attractions and also close to several restaurants and stores. Beware the angry neighbor who shares a driveway, he is not friendly and yelled at us for walking past him. Other than that,we had a great time!

Wonderful stay, close to Shenandoah

Property was even cuter than the photos. Great stay in a beautiful farm house. The location was incredibly charming and had a view of the blue ridge mountains. Cows were at a distance, but close enough to make the experience enjoyable. Very clean and well stocked, could have cooked family meals in the kitchen. Ideal for us that it was super close to the Shenandoah park entrance (15min drive)

We truly needed a place to recharge our life. Dealing with two parents terminal illness on a daily basis was difficult and quickly took a toll of both of us. Excellent Location

We really enjoyed our stay in this farmhouse. It was so peaceful sitting on the front porch every evening. The house’s location was great for accessing Shenandoah National Park. Our children enjoyed fishing and playing in the river. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was comfortable for our family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children.) We used the small portable grill several times and sat outside on the picnic table to enjoy dinner. Such a beautiful view!
