Here’s my honest review for 1 night stay in June 2026. As a worker who travels frequently between NM & TX, this review is honest and painful. Checking in was mediocre, they make you pay a deposit upon checking in, separate from your booking that you already paid for. The pictures on the advertisement must have been on a good day but the property exterior is dirty, weeds growing out of curbs, curbs in dire need of painting, building in dire need of an exterior paint refresh. The lobby is 4 feet wide, dirty and poorly lit for safety. The front door would not close properly into the lobby. I could hear children screaming and crying so I asked the clerk about that and he stated families live there and the sounds were normal. Okay.. Upon entering my room, it arrived to my senses with a stale almost mildew smell. I was in room 319. Beds were clean, but felt very low budget. The kitchenette was as old as time and room lighting poor, not a lamp to turn on to read or work with, just 3 overhead lights. I found the mildew smell and it was in the shower as the top of the shower had black mold both sides. Several other visually observed issues but I guess for 78 dollars it is what it is. But the Holiday Inn Express next door is only 30 bucks more and a real hotel with a pool and gym. I was only at the Motel 6 for 1 night due to Holiday Inn Express only having my room available for 4 out of 5 nights. So 1 night at the Motel 6 I survived, but unlikely booking ever again.
