Guest Feedback – Seda Lio (4-night stay)

My first impression of the resort and the beach view was absolutely amazing—the location is stunning, and the resort itself is beautiful. The rooms are clean, but unfortunately, my room had a foul smell when I arrived. I did bring it to the staff’s attention, and while they sprayed something to help neutralize the odor, it did not fully resolve the issue. I believe this is an area that could use further attention. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout my stay, which I really appreciated. I believe there is still room for improvement: The food at the main restaurant was underwhelming. I tried several dishes, and overall they were mediocre. The pizza, in particular, was quite disappointing—sorry to say! One thing that really stood out was the plastic glasses used at the restaurant. They looked worn out and unappealing, which isn’t consistent with a 5-star hotel experience. I strongly suggest replacing them with proper glassware, as it impacts the overall perception of quality. On a more positive note, I dined at the beachfront restaurant on the other side, and the food there was much better, and there were no plastic glasses in sight—which made a noticeable difference. Please take this as constructive feedback. With some adjustments, Seda Lio has the potential to offer a truly 5-star experience across the board. I plan to return next year—hopefully with the chance to stay at Seda Lio again and see some of these improvements.

The location is great. It is oceanfront, close to the airport and walking distance to restaurants. However, I had many issues with scheduling an island tour and the payment process was a nightmare after the tour. The credit card reader from the tour provider did not work and I had to keep following up with them when I could make the payment. The resort did try to help me with these issues, but there needs to be a clear process of how customers sign up for tours and when they can pay for it.

Booked a Deluxe Garden King on hotels.com. After checking our room, we had two twins, when I told the front desk about this they said bed sizes aren't guaranteed. Then why list the room as a king? Bathrooms are dimly lit, but the staff are friendly.

Beautiful hotel on a lovely beach and walkable to a number of restaurants. In terms of criticism, there are small maintenance issues that should be remedied (pool needs to be resealed) and the breakfast is very average.

Our stay was fantastic, but with one caveat. The wait staff leaves much to be desired as far as being able to take and fulfill an order. Twice we had dinner at the hotel dining room and both times the wait staff made at least one error on the order and even forgot to place the order. And then once I ordered lunch at the beach and they didn’t bother to include utensils or napkins. Having said that, the entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is excellent.

Nice hotel and staff. Poor food.

Great location near the airport and beach. Rooms were nice and clean. Nice pool and outdoor bar and restaurant. My only disappointment was the quality and taste of the food. Not up to par from prior experiences at other Seda hotels in the Philippines.
