We had a great room at the Intercontinental in Doha. It had a beautiful view and was always cleaned every day. It had a full-size refrigerator and even a stove top. It was a mini suite after all but we just weren’t expecting that. The only thing missing is I wished we had a bathroom that also had a bathtub. All in all it was a perfect stay.

Having arrived at the hotel at 5am, I was then on the phone to Expedia who in the end did pay for the room as our flight had changed. The hotel front desk were no help at all, they were prepared to let the sit in the lobby for 10 hours. Having paid for the room, we then moved to our room that we had booked. Unfortunately this was wrong and they put out a roll out bed in the lounge - NOT GOOD FOR A 5 STAR HOTEL. The manager sorted it out on the following day but that was NOT the room that was promised the day before on the 48 floor. It was excuses after the excuses. The hotel manager was blaming everyone but the hotel itself. He was also not the most accommodating and was very abrupt. The breakfast was fantastic and the service from the whole team was magnificent. The had a fantastic choice and array of food. The cleaners didn’t come to clean the room every day even when asked. The left the bed linen on the dressing table for us to change!!!

Breakfast was phenomenal. Omelettes were made to order and there was a wide variety of things to eat and drink. Staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a really good location and the hotel itself has many restaurants offering different cuisine. One of, if not, the best hotel I've stayed at.
