Excellent location and services. Some receptionists have enough English whearas some barely understand. However, they were eager to help. The condition of the room is ok but the lobby and breakfast area need update. The breakfast is adequate but no ham, cheese or egg.

I had travelled 25 hours and was very tired when I arrived, and the staff were particularly helpful. They came to my room and helped set up the safe and the TV when I couldn’t. I like that they have bottled water in the lobby area that the guests can always access. They don’t have lots of flashy ...

Why You Should Take A Flight To Argentina
The vastness of Argentina, the second-biggest country in South America, offers a huge variety of experiences. Explore the Pampas and ride with gauchos on horseback, take a lesson in Argentine tango and gasp at the Iguazú Falls on the Brazilian border – they dwarf Niagara! Book your flights to Argentina and start your own adventure in South America.
When To Book Flights To Argentina
Argentina is in the southern hemisphere, so seasons are reversed. In the north, including Buenos Aires, spring (September to November) is comfortably cool, while summers (from December to February) are generally fiercely hot. The south of the country generally enjoys a temperate climate. In the southernmost tip of Patagonia, the weather can be very unpredictable – the summers can be hot, very windy and sometimes stormy, while spring and fall are off-peak but cooler. Book your tickets to Argentina with this in mind.
How To Find The Best Flight Deals To Argentina
With regular flights to many US cities, finding cheap plane tickets to Argentina is easy and when you book with Orbitz there are plenty of ways to find the best deals.
You can search for flights to and from different locations using the ‘Nearby airports’ option. This helps you pick cheap flight deals to Buenos Aires and other major cities in Argentina. Being flexible can also pay dividends and using the ‘Show flexible dates’ option allows you to look at the cost of an airfare to Argentina on different days.
The ‘Show options’ button and menu on the left of the results screen allow you to filter and sort your results, so you can search by airline, flight duration, price, ticket type and look for direct or connecting flights.
Main Airports In Argentina
- Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE)
Ministro Pistarini International Airport, known locally as Ezeiza International Airport, serves Buenos Aires and is the main arrival point for travelers to Argentina. It lies 14 miles south of the capital. Shuttle buses run 24 hours a day to central Buenos Aires, or take a taxi. There are a number of public bus routes to Buenos Aires and other destinations.
- Comandante Armando Tola International Airport (FTE)
Comandante Armando Tola International Airport, in the Santa Cruz Province, is 13 miles from the Patagonian city of El Calafate, and thus a good jumping-off point to visit Patagonia and Los Glaciares National Park. Although designated an international airport, most flights are with domestic carrier Aerolíneas Argentinas, so book a transfer from Buenos Aires.
- Ambrosio L.V. Taravella International Airport (COR)
Ambrosio L.V. Taravella, known as Pajas Blancas, serves the central city of Córdoba six miles north-west. It is the third busiest airport in Argentina and only flights from Madrid and Miami arrive here, so book a connecting flight from Buenos Aires if you’re arriving from other U.S. locations.

How To Get Around Argentina
Argentina is served by an extensive network of fairly cheap intercity buses – they are fast, comfortable and the best way to cross the country. In the cities, the best way to get around is to use the colectivo (bus) networks. In Buenos Aires, the Metrobus rapid transport bus network has five lines and over a hundred stations, while the subte (subway network) has six lines and 90 stations. Using these is the best way to get around the capital. And if you’re heading out of the center, a network of commuter trains criss-crosses Greater Buenos Aires.
Places To Visit In Argentina
Buenos Aires
The capital is cool, cosmopolitan and cultured. Visit its 80-odd bares notables, glamorous old-style cafes that are protected national monuments, before enjoying a traditional Argentine tango dance show. The Tango Festival takes place in August. Buenos Aires is famous for its street art – be sure to take a guided tour. Then head out of town to try horseback riding and an asado (Argentine barbecue) complete with the country’s famous steaks. Back in the city, check out the modern art at Malba (Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires) and relax at the 10-hectare Parque Centenario.
Córdoba and Mendoza
Mendoza is the wine-growing region – head here to tour the vineyards and sample the famous Malbec. Cultured Córdoba boasts the Evita Fine Arts Museum and some very eclectic and idiosyncratic architecture, from Gothic to colonial to dazzlingly modern.
Patagonia
The region of Patagonia lies in the vast southernmost tip of South America, bordered by Chile along the Andes mountain range. The beautiful wild terrain includes hot and arid deserts and steppes, vast grasslands and numerous lakes, and has long been popular with backpackers. Head to Tierra del Fuego, known as The End of the World, to take a cruise round Cape Horn and spot wales, penguins and seals.
Tips And Tricks For Traveling In Argentina
Argentinians are unpunctual, loud and have little concept of personal space, so be prepared for the culture shock. They are also very friendly and will be eager to show off their country to you.
U.S. citizens need a valid passport to enter Argentina for visits of up to 90 days. However, if your passport is damaged you are unlikely to be granted entry.
