The Space:
Enter through the front porch and step into the main level of our three-story river home. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals during your stay, with the dining area and large farmhouse table just to the left. To the right, the main living room offers comfortable seating, a 55-inch TV, and beautiful views of the water.
With two separate living areas, multiple outdoor spaces, and sleeping accommodations spread across all three levels, the home gives groups plenty of room to gather together while still having space to relax. Outside, the large grassy waterfront area, fire pit, dock, and kayak make it easy to spend as much time outdoors as you do inside.

The waterfront is truly the highlight of the property. Spend the morning fishing from the dock, take the kayak out on the water, enjoy an afternoon of games on the lawn, or settle in around the fire pit after sunset. We have no doubt our River Refuge will be a memorable place for your group to get away and enjoy the water.
IMPORTANT WATERFRONT & PROPERTY INFORMATION
• The paved path to the water is very steep and may be difficult for small children, elderly guests, or anyone with mobility limitations.
• The main-level living room deck is currently off limits due to pending repairs.
• There is currently no WiFi at the home. DirecTV is provided for entertainment, and cellular service may be available for basic needs.
• Water levels are seasonal. Levels typically begin decreasing in October and rise again around April. There may not be sufficient water for boating from approximately October through May, although guests can generally still enjoy fishing from the dock.
Guest Access:
The house has a lockbox with key at the front door which will provide you access to the house. The code will be provided upon check-in. You will have full and private access to the home.
The Neighborhood:
Our home is tucked away in a peaceful, rural setting on the Chickamauga Lake portion of the Tennessee River. Located at the end of a quiet, no-outlet street, it’s a wonderful spot for relaxing, fishing, and enjoying time on the water away from the hustle and bustle.
Cottonport Marina is just one mile away, making the location especially convenient for guests visiting to enjoy boating, fishing, and other activities on the river.
Getting Around:
A vehicle is necessary during your stay, as the home is located in a rural area. The peaceful setting gives you the opportunity to truly get away while still being within driving distance of Chattanooga and other popular East Tennessee destinations.
Other Things to Note:
There is currently no internet or WiFi at the home. We love having a place where guests can disconnect and make the most of their time on the river. Cellphone service may be available for basic needs, and DirecTV is provided at the home.
The paved path leading down to the waterfront is very steep and may not be suitable for everyone, particularly young children, elderly guests, or those with mobility limitations.
The garbage disposal is operated by a countertop button. The light switch located next to the sink must also be switched on for the disposal to operate.
We kindly ask guests to treat all towels and linens with care. Items that are stained or damaged beyond repair may be subject to a replacement charge. This helps us maintain clean, comfortable linens for future guests.
Guests must be at least 21 years old to book, and a signed rental agreement is required.
If you notify us of your intent to cancel before the free cancellation period expires, we will return 97% of your payment. The remaining 3% is collected by the credit card processing company and cannot be refunded by us.
Interaction with Guests:
We want our guests to enjoy their getaway with plenty of privacy, which is why we offer contact-free check-in through the lockbox. While we won’t interrupt your stay, our team is only a phone call or message away if you need assistance while you’re at the home.
