Place has gone down hill greatly lack of maintenance and responsibility did have hot water for our 2 day stay no shuttle to down town like they had b4 hot tubes where way past needing a water change

they did have a shuttle service, but they left us hanging as they went grocery shopping. then they had to unload the groceries, so they had room for the passengers. No hot water in the morning, so we had to take cold showers.

Would never recommend this hotel. Dogs were barking non stop in someone’s room. Took 30 minutes to find someone to check us in. Phone on desk said to call zero. It was busy for 20 minutes. Finally found cleaning lady to call someone. Lady finally came and was apparently sleeping. Asked to be far away from barking dogs and she said they didn’t have any more rooms available. Another couple waited an hour to try and check in and they left and came back. I asked to cxl our rooms, but said we were after cut off of 3:00pm, it was 3:05pm and would not refund us. We walked out!

This was the worst hotel experience we have ever had. The experience was so bad that I have tried to write this review three times and keep running out of characters. So here is a list of what happened. 1. Given wrong room which was literally trashed like a party had gone wrong. 2. Upon getting correct room, noticed that it seemed dingy, dirty, run down and didn't match the online pictures. 3. At bedtime uncovered a nasty yellow spot on one bed and a black hair on the other. 4. Went to the front desk for assistance and was told there was nothing they could do until housekeeping came in the morning. They wouldn't even give us clean sheets or banket to put on ourselves. 5. Asked to speak to the manager and was simply given an email address and told to email them. 6. Made other arrangements for the night. 7. After no response to email, we called for to get a phone number the next day and was told by same rude guy that have to call back at 11;00 because he didn't have a number. 8. We called back and finally got a number for the manager, Cindy. 9. Left a message for Cindy. 10. No call back. 11. Called the hotel a final time and left a message with a person for manager (Cindy) to call. 12. It's been a week, and we still have not heard from anyone. 13. Finally, we had to dispute the charge on our credit card. Never stayed a night there and never heard from the manager. DO NOT stay here. Not worth $1 let alone the $150+ per night.

I later discovered that the room was not completely cleaned. A dirty janitors rag had been left in the bathroom, and an apparently used towel was hanging up. The ice bucket water had not been changed. Only one washcloth. The beds were perfectly fine though. Also, the reason I booked the room was that a hot tub was advertised. So I canceled a reservation in Sturgis and paid more money to go out of my way to Lead. Two days before our stay, I called to make sure that the hot tub was working, but when I got there they had closed it down due to some guy spilling beer into it. I was told that they normally waited 48 hours after such an incident, but the manager would not budge when I asked him to open it slightly sooner so I could use it. Not ever going back there again.

Decor was nice, but the carpet and fixtures need updated. Smelled musty and there was mold on the wall in the bathroom. I usually bring some disinfectant spray with me and i wiped the bathroom down with some bleach. Minimal staff, but the lady that ran front desk and restaurant was very nice. Price was high for what it was.

I paid over $200/night , which I feel is a clean place to stay rate. This hotel smells terrible upon arrival my room smelled of must, mold , crappy cologne (hard to describe) there was mold in the shower. Overall short story is it was gross. I ended up cutting my stay in half and paying twice the rate somewhere else so I could comfortably sleep and shower. When I arrived at my other hotel , they asked me where I was staying and they had nicknames for the blackstone which i wont mention

I paid for a king suite, premium rate… advertised hot tub out back. They had 3 on a beautiful deck. BUT… two were empty and had moss growing on the sides/bottom and the other had water that had “creatures” growing in it.water didn’t smell bleach and the heat was off so it was cold. Tried to turn it on…. Broken Breakfast was powdered eggs, and Biscuits and gravy-no sausage in the gravy mind you. Just won’t be staying here again unless I’m in a jam.

I paid $435 for 2 nights stay because the hotel stated in their advertisement that they had 3 hot tubs. After checking into the hotel I asked where the hot tubs were located and was informed that all 3 had mechanical issues and were not working, this was bee disappointing

Staff was good but hotel room was not ready until 6:10 pm. The hot tubs weee all broken and room was not in great shape. Carpet is ripped and hotel in general needs some maintenance. Pretty expensive rooms for not being in great shape
