Great space and location/responsive host, but no heat.
Review:
This townhouse was a great fit for our needs. It was big enough for all of the family who didn’t live in town to sleep in one spot close to our family member. Sleeping areas were comfortable and common areas were good. There were plenty of bathrooms for the number of people. We had no trouble with parking and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. It was convenient to both DFW and Love Field. It was easy to get into Dallas, Fort Worth and any number of surrounding towns for the activities that we had planned.
Our host was very responsive to our needs. She was accessible and quickly replied to our issues. We were there over the Christmas holiday and there was a very bad cold storm that came through. Because of that we found out that we did not have heat for the 1st or 2nd floor for our entire trip. Because of the holiday, getting technicians and parts were more difficult that normal. When it was determined that the repairs could not be completed, she did get space heaters for the bedrooms after the 3rd night. In addition, the keypad lock to the front door went out (we think this was also due to extreme cold, but are not sure) She got us a key to fix that problem.
However, we do not feel that the refund of one night of our stay is adequate for the problems that we experienced. 1) the heat was out for the entire 12 nights, 2) we had to wait for repairmen/deliveries several times instead of spending time with family, and 3) the dishwasher was also broken.
