Condition and facilities need to be improved (telephone in room was broken, too many ants behind bedside cabinet, stains on the curtain), and it was easy to hear the noise from adjacent rooms. However, the location and its lobby are nice. The staff are also friendly.

Nice hotel, room not so much

Nice hotel, great location for the beach. Multiple things wrong/broken in our room and we were told we couldnt change rooms. As the phone was one of the broken items this meant many trips from the 8th floor to reception to try and get things fixed. Due to other hotel occupants the hotel was quite noisy.

Good Location. The bathroom had traditional Shower in same location as toilet and sink. It caused the entire floor to be wet after showering. This set up is common in many Asian bathroom bur a definite inconvenience for Western travelers.

Da Nang isn't a great destination

The room itself was comfortable enough. The breakfast provided was inedible. The pool area was in full sun with no shade. The sun loungers were uncomfortable. The sky bar looks like its permanently closed. No where to sit comfortably in the hotel. Wouldn't recommend this place. It was noisy.

Awful hotel, deceptive rating, dirty, not worth it

Having booked this for my birthday as a treat while traveling we turned up to a dirty room with blood stains on the curtains and sheets, wires sticking out, the door didn’t lock and there was dirt and nail clippings all over, we complained and they moved us to the next room along which was the same! We showed them the problems and they ‘upgraded’ us, this from was slightly better but the bathroom door still didn’t lock. The pool was closed from 10-4 (peak time) so you can’t access it at all, and half of the adversitied amenities aren’t available. The breakfast was terrible with the only positive was a fried egg and plain toast. Expedia say it’s 3.5 stars, the front of the hotel says 3 stars and the business cards say 4. I have stayed in hostels and 2 star hotels 10x better than this. Avoid!!! This is a deceptive hotel who advertise that they provide a lot of services to get the higher ratings and custom but do not deliver.

Good for overnight stay only

The staff is very disorganized and that trickled into breakfast. We were served well with vegetarian noodles but no cut fruits and too sugary juices. Most of the items were not refilled and we had to ask every time. An interesting triangle cut breads were put in buffet which is inconvenient to toast. There is only a two bread toaster so the toasting rate is reduced to half. it cannot be more than 2 star but they are claiming it to be 3.5 stars. The pool is very small and no pool towels. The owner only wants to tick mark the amenities instead of actually wanting to provide it. One gentle man stood out who was very warm. He was overseeing pool and later doing most of the running around at the breakfast time. The description of the hotel is misleading in taking decision.

Not what we signed up for.....

They did not have the room we booked/requested (2 single beds in their largest style room) so they had to bring a bed into the 'living room' area- which cramped the space a lot. Then the next day I realized the bed (they brought in) had bed bugs and my ankles have been recovering ever since. Finally found an ointment at a pharmacy to help with the itching.

Excellent hotel & service

We stayed at the Sunshine Hotel for three nights and really enjoyed our time there. Our room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. During our stay we took advantage of the shuttle bus into the Old Quarter and found it really convenient, but on the occasions we used a taxi it was cheap to get around. The food at the hotel was good and breakfast was nice. Our favourite part of the hotel was the swimming pool which was a good way to recover from a morning shopping in town.

Good for one night

We stayed here for one night when waiting for our flight to Saigon. Check in was fine and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They sorted a taxi to the airport for us. We didn't have the breakfast as we left early for our flight. Our stay here was fine and the location is great if you purely want a relaxing stay on the beach. Otherwise you will have to get a taxi to be more central as there isn't a lot around the hotel at present. The rooms were clean and the minibar was reasonable. The one thing that we found was that the beds were quite hard but I suppose this is a personal preference. Would stay here again overall.
