1) Ring of Breadalbane Explorer: este es el autobús que gira alrededor de Perthshire, y puedes llevar tus bicicletas y subir y bajar cuando quieras. La parada de autobús es del Crieff Hydro Hotel (a solo 5 minutos a pie del apartamento). Me detendría en Killin y pedalearía hacia Lochearnhead (cuando tomes el autobús nuevamente). Haz una parada en Kenmore y Aberfeldy, dos pueblos encantadores
2) Pase el día Perth por un día, a 20 minutos en automóvil de Crieff y salga a caminar a lo largo de Tay y hasta Kinoull Hill

3) Tome el tren a Edimburgo por el día, en agosto comienza el festival de Edimburgo, pero cualquier época del año es un buen momento para visitar

4) Pasa el día en Crieff, algunas caminatas / ciclos geniales por la zona (ve a la Oficina de Turismo para obtener más información, que se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad)

5) Vaya a Delivinos para almorzar / cenar un día (en el centro de la ciudad), y definitivamente vaya a Yanns para cenar una noche (en Perth Road, a solo 5 minutos a pie del apartamento), un encantador restaurante francés / escocés, necesitará reservar con anticipación, ya que está muy ocupado

6) Pasee en bicicleta o camine hasta la famosa destilería Grouse (aproximadamente a 1 milla de distancia), la destilería más antigua de Escocia, ¡hay un gran recorrido, fácil para el whisky! se caerá de su bicicleta camino a casa. Hay un agradable paseo sobre Knock (la colina en Crieff) donde está el Crieff Hydro, bajando por el otro lado hasta The Famous Grouse y luego puedes caminar alrededor del río. Volver a Crieff

7) Pase el rato en MaCrosty Park y Taylor Park, junto al río, hermosos parques para hacer un picnic

8) Tome el autobús a Comrie, lindo pueblo al lado de Crieff (también puede ir en bicicleta allí, tomar el camino de regreso, es más tranquilo y más pintoresco). Ir a tomar un café / almuerzo en el Royal Hotel en Comrie. Ciclo / Conduzca hasta el campo de prisioneros de guerra de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, lugar muy habitual, pero vale la pena visitarlo.

9) Viaje en bicicleta / viaje al Hotel Gleneagles (sede de la Ryder Cup en 2014), hotel de 5 estrellas de fama mundial, maravilloso spa ESPA y restaurantes que el público puede usar. Si quiere sacar el bote, vaya al restaurante Andrew Fairleys (restaurante escocés de solo 2 estrellas Micheln). Definitivamente tendrá que reservar con anticipación y traer mucho dinero en efectivo. El taxi costará alrededor de £ 10 por trayecto, ¡se requiere ropa elegante! gran experiencia.

10) Viaje en bicicleta / en coche a Drummond Gardens, a las afueras de Crieff, jardines muy impresionantes, hay un camino muy largo y arbolado hasta el castillo.

weekend stay

Apartment is stunning, there were 3 of us staying for 2 nights and we had 10 relatives over for drinks one night. Everyone agreed the apartment is unique and special. Amazing views from the balcony. The kitchen was appointed with everything you would need. From the basket of goodies that was left the lemon cake was amazing, as was the fresh orange juice. But the bread loaf was stale and the milk was sour. The beds were extremely comfortable. The real negatives come from the bathrooms. Dim lighting, one single small spotlight on the ceiling that is for accenting a picture, not lighting a room, ladies you will be putting on your makeup by candlelight. Also, hate the rainshowers only, ladies don't always want to wash their hair every time they shower and it's almost impossible not to get your hair wet, PLUS, the showers in 2 of the bathrooms spray everywhere, toilet, shelf where you want to put your stuff, everywhere. So you take a shower and after a few hours you go into the bathroom, your feet, socks, slippers are completely soaked. It just doesn't dry out, even if you leave the fan on, the floor never dries out from the RAIN shower right next to the toilet that sprays everywhere! The only other complaint was that there was a lot of "sand" on the floor under where the stone walls were. It was apparent the apartment had not been recently vacuumed. I found vacuum in closet and cleaned it before our guests arrived, it was that bad.Overall, think it was a little overpriced.

First Visit to Scotland!

After flight delays we made it to Church Tower! Emily was amazing, meeting us and showing us the church tower. So beautiful and comfortable, as described. A few concerns arose and there was a bit of confusion about who the point of contact was. It all got worked out and the much anticipated delicious welcome basket did arrive; and we were able to take our goodies with us to Inverness. Crieff was a beautiful area and we enjoyed the pubs, hikes, and drives. Thank you for a wonderful first experience in Scotland.

great central location

The church tower was magical with a roof top deck to overlook the town of Crieff this was our home base as we traveled all over Scotland. The people are wonderful and the history you find adventures around every corner

The condo church tower was the most unique place we ever stayed. It was perfect for our family of five and could of fit six. Emilia was very accommodating even after we ran late for check in. The town is easy to get around, you just have to plan for dinner early. But if not there are convenient groceries for you to make dinner at the house. The owner John was able to answer all of our questions before arrival even though we were coming from the US Emilia answered any questions quickly while we were there. Very pleased and would highly recommend. The Richbourgs

Unique Apartment

We stayed in this unique property for 5 days in September. The apartment is on the third floor of the church building and is on 3 floors above that. It would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The views from the living room and tower are amazing and well worth the climb. The location is an easy walk to the town of Crieff and a great base for exploring the North.

Super stay in glorious Crieff

The Church Tower is a cracking location, for a family or group stay. Really well located, and just a short walk into the centre of Crieff, and very well equipped kitchen enabling meals to be prepared in, if so required. Very clean and comfortable, with quality bedding and furnishings. Off-street parking in a secure garage was also a benefit for storage of kids bikes.

Wunderschöne und hervorragend ausgestattete Wohnung

Wir haben sehr entspannte Tage in Crieff in dieser sehr schönen und konfortablen Wohnung verbracht. Die Einrichtung ist gepflegt und liebevoll zusammengestellt, die Ausstattung ist hervorragend. Es ist alles vorhanden, was es für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Die vielen verschiedenen Ebenen der Wohnung bieten vielfältige Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten. Von der Terrasse und vom Turm hat man einen fantastischen Blick auf Crieff und das Umland. In Crieff hat man alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vor Ort und kann direkt von der Wohnung aus zu Wanderungen und Erkundungen aufbrechen. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen. Vielen Dank hierfür!

New Year in the Tower

Flat itself had character and some nice features but the building overall was bland and very anonymous in the entrance areas and outside. We had problems with the creaky floorboards, raised and damaged floorboards, the entertainment system (which frequently refused to load properly), and general layout (each of the 3 floors were divided by an unheated stairwell), but otherwise this was a good experience in an interesting environment. Management was excellent as were all communications - very accommodating and helpful making our stay as stress free as possible.

Beautiful place with great location but too expensive.

This condo needs a good cleaning. Radios in the rooms .. really?! Isn't it 2019! More TVs please -- not that you want to watch TV when you are visiting such a beautiful place. Like other reviews - FIX the stove or at least provide a guide to tell you what the knobs are for. Price when booked far in advance is too high. Hot water / tour of place when we arrived --- these were problems! More attention to details would be nice. For long stays, make it obvious how to have new linens or towels arranged. Crieff is a lovely town.

Church tower in Crieff

This property exceeded our expectations. It had that ‘funky-wow’ factor we look for in a vacation rental. Check in was a breeze, Emilia was waiting for us with a smile, flowers and a bottle of wine! She gave us the grand tour and explained everything and even let us check in early. It was very tastefully and very comfortably decorated. Comfy furnishings are important to me (more than my hubby) and the beds, couches and chairs were all comfy and cozy. The apartment could comfortably hold 2-3 couples, although it was just my husband and I. We ate in mostly from the Co-op down the road, but ate twice at The Meadow Inn just next to the Co-op. Food was quite good here and in walking distance so no worries if having a pint of whatever... Location ideal for exploring much of the country. We were sad to leave, wish we had booked for longer, and we will definitely be back.

An absolutely perfect stay

What a marvellous stay! We've had such a wonderful week in the church tower. It is perfectly equiped and very clean. The view from the tower is amazing. We couldn't stop watching the landscape changing. Crieff is a very nice town from where we started our tours. We'll surely come back.

We were three couples that had a fantastic time in this interesting and unique VRBO. We loved Crieff pubs for food. Close enough to the Highlands and airports to be a perfect spot for us.

Extravagante Wohnung über den Dächern von Crieff

Wir waren mit 5 Personen für eine Woche in dieser tollen Ferienwohnung und haben die Zeit und die fantastische Aussicht sehr genossen. Drei Schlafzimmer mit eigenen Bädern, viele schöne Sitzgelegenheiten, ein Garagenplatz fürs Auto - perfekt. Der Ort ist wunderbar, Supermarkt, Bäcker, Restaurants in fußläufiger Entfernung und die Umgebung lädt zu vielfältigen Ausflügen ein. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für die etwas dürftige Ausstattung an Geschirr, und das knarrende, unbequeme Bett in einem Schlafraum. Außerdem konnten wir Radio, CD- und DVD-Player nicht zum Laufen bringen. Wir haben uns dennoch rundum wohl gefühlt.
