About the home
“Kookaburra Corner” is a delightful single-storey family home in Cowes just a short drive or comfortable walk from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The entry of the home leads to a long central hallway that provides access to all the rooms in the home. Bedroom 1 is at the front of the home and has a smart tv, walk in robe, ensuite (with shower & toilet). Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 are in the centre of the home (each has a built in robe) as well as the main bathroom (with shower & bath) plus a separate toilet. The huge rear open plan Kitchen/Living Dining room (with smart tv) provides access to the rear entertaining deck, the laundry and a large walk in pantry. The 2nd living room (with smart tv, board games & kids toys) provides an additional space for families to spread out, and there is internal access from the garage to the home.
Outdoor Areas
The rear deck is accessed from the main Living Room and has table & chairs for 4 people, and the gas bbq. The enclosed rear yard provides a lovely space for children and pets (pets to remain outside please) and has a firepit (wood not provided). The double garage has access to the rear yard (and internal access into the home) and provides space for 2 cars to park, with additional parking for 2 more vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the driveway.
Seagrove Park is opposite the home and is a large open space, perfect for children and with great playground facilities including swings, slides, climbing fort, picnic area and open space for ball games.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and 900mm 5-burner gas cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioner in the Living/Kitchen/Dining room, plus four additional stand-alone fans which can be used where required. There is also a firepit in the enclosed rear yard (wood not provided).
Bedding Configuration
This home has 6 beds plus 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 11 guests:

There is also a Double sofa bed in the 2nd living room, suitable for 2 adults or children.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

The location suited us perfectly. Bedrooms were cold but there was extra spare bedding and we were warm enough. We had paid for the full bed linen and It was a fantastic start to the break to find the beds were made up. Just having one key to the property made it a bit more complicated when people went off to do different activities.

Wonderful holiday house!
The perfect spot for us to enjoy Easter as a family! Home was clean and tidy, and more spacious than it looks in the photos. Had literally anything you could want or need during your stay.Right across the road from a playground/ park and a beautiful walk to the beach if you feel like a walk. We had a wonderful time here. Kids didn’t want to leave. The rumpus room really helps give kids somewhere to enjoy themselves and is so well equiped with toys too.We would absolutely book again.

A home away from home.
Conveniently located property. Playground/park just across the road was a big bonus for my grandchildren and a perfect place for a family barbecue. Property was clean with ample room for a family of ten. Booking was seamless.
