Stunning views and comfortable rooms.

Spectacular views. Very clean and comfortable. Up a very long and windy, steep road so didn't want to venture back out and ate dinner at the hotel. Food was good enough but rather pricy for what you got. Breakfast was spectacular though.

Great views and pool, but need a car

Location - great views over the city, but there is nothing nearby, so need a car to access any shops (there is a shuttle bus to the city that passes by a number times a day) Service - excellent, especially from Bernardo on reception. Accommodation - very comfortable, large bathroom, views over the pool to the city Eating - full breakfast was excellent. There is a restaurant on site. Staff were very helpful, got great tips from them on local restaurants. What we booked on Expedia wasn't exactly what they had but the staff worked hard to get us as close to exactly what we thought we had booked. The pool is absolutely lovely but very cold which was surprising as it's not very deep and we thought that sunlight alone would make it much warmer.

Nice hotel

An Adobe style hotel on the top of the hill. Some beautiful views of the valley below if you get the right rooms. Unheated pool and dinner is what they offer that day at a fixed price, no a la carte

The hotel is located in a nice area over seeing the valley. Don't be fooled by the picture this is a mistake I've done and didn't take notice of. See in Canada you don't have to climb a mountain to see snow it is all over the place. I should have been smart enough to recognize the fact that to see snow you have to go up the mountain. We drove from Viseu and up we went to an altitude of 1950 meters ! The seen is breath taking but I didn't plan for it was a shock to me. Now in the hotel I was hoping the staff can upgrade my room I was told they were fully booked. From our window room you could see a section of the valley with some lights from below but there was a huge Air Condition unit that kept going on and off all night. I woke up at 3:20 am due to the noise additionally I was asked a copy of my confirmation email indicating it is their policy. I found that a bit strange but I had to provide them with it. The breakfast and the hotel are fantastic unfortunately we did have the chance to swim in the most beautiful pool since we had to move on to our second location .

Good location

The hotel is well situated for exploring the Sierra de Estrella. Our room was a good size ans suitable for couples with a glass walled bathroom. However there were areas of mould on the hard wooden flooring and the carpet rug had seen better days. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. At dinner , my main course was altered to add certain meat which wa# not on the menu and which I had not ordered. The dish was remade but after some resistance. The breakfast was excellent. Well laid out and good quality. If the hotel wishes to up its game, some staff need training in customer service

Stunning position and truly great service

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were truly professional and nothing was too much trouble. The quality of the food in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The position of the hotel, gave us spectacular views of the stunning countryside. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.
