Enjoy the peacefulness of El Cortez on Mustang Island, just three miles south of Port Aransas. This newly remodeled, high-end, one-bedroom condo is nestled on the second floor within the tropical landscape and offers all of the amenities of home. Tastefully decorated in a pallet of blues and greys, this home contains added features such as recessed lighting and USB ports on walls throughout. The open and inviting living room is made up of a large leather couch with plush pillows, an overstuffed matching armchair, a TV and a sliding glass door leading out to the balcony. The full kitchen is equipped with all things needed to prepare a meal with spacious Corian countertops, new cabinets, top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, both a Keurig and drip coffee maker, electric mixer, wine glasses, an Insta pot, crockpot, waffle maker, dishes, kid-friendly utensils, full set of pots and pans. Sit down for meals at the wooden dining table with seating for four and four additional stools at the breakfast bar. The master bedroom (BR1) contains two Queen beds, a closet, a dresser for your beach attire and a TV. It was very nice. I would suggest a golf cart. We brought a wagon to use to walk down to the boardwalk. Overall it was a great experience! We would love to stay there again. Next time we will rent a golf cart. It had everything we needed for the stay. I will say it was kinda hard finding the place. We missed our turn twice.

If the closet in the bedroom is a locking safe/closet, it needs to be revealed to the guest. It has a keypad, but the same code from the front door doesn't work on it. Still a mystery. Overall, a very nice condo set-up with lots of room and posh things in it. Would book again.

This is our new favorite place! Short walk to the beach or we also drove a mile north for car access to the beach. Nice to have 2 options when you have ones who don't want to walk! Had everything we needed + more. We especially enjoyed a little balcony with chairs. Only thing I can think of to improve is a full-length mirror, but wasn't too big of a problem for a 2-nights stay!

The condo and the location are great. Short walk to a great beach. We had everything we could possibly need in the kitchen. Only downside was one hand towel and one wash cloth for three people.

Great Location, inside is beautifully updated!

Straight shot to the Beach on the boardwalk at the bottom of the stairs! Very comfortable bed with very comfy bedding. The bathroom had Spa toilet, a heated towel rack and multi head shower. The kitchen had everything anyone could need from glassware, dishes and silverware that was very nice to good pots and pans, tools for everything and a great dining area inside or out on the patio! The AC worked extremely well! The only things we missed… no closet to hang your clothes and no mirror other than the ome above the bathroom sink to make sure you are all together before leaving. We were there for a Wedding- Formal Church Wedding- before the Beach reception. Other than that it is Perfect!!

September get away

Made many trips to El Cortez property years ago and haven't been here in several years. We were pleasantly surprised with the lovely updated interiors of the property. Only downside is the massive amount of new construction, Port A won't be "little Port A" anymore. But we will be back as we prefer the smaller crowds during the off season.

Overall great

Really the only thing that could be done better is the cleaning. I noticed a couple of dead water bugs/cockroaches. No enough to worry about but enough to wonder when the place was last swept. There were also finger prints on the patio door. Seemed as it hadn’t been wiped down in a while. Other than that our stay was amazing and we thank those at Life in Paradise for the accommodation.

Good option for small family

it’s newly renovated, so it’s very nice and up to date, which was a nice surprise! Overall the location is great, but a few things were lacking. We ran out of towels and there was no laundry detergent, iron, and we couldn’t ever get live tv working. They did have Netflix, so that was great for my kids. My one complaint is the lack of communication with the owner. I called and texted many times and wouldn’t get responses for quite a while. Every time I heard back it was also a different phone number, so it was confusing. Overall it’s a clean place that is a good option next to Cinnamon Shore.

Great location and pool. Management acted quickly on a bee issue which was extremely impressive. However the whole condo smelled like marajauana and im sure it came from the unit downstairs. The internet and TV was not set up yet which made for a challenging weekend with little children. There was not alot of kitchen items to cook with such as platters, cutting boards, utensils, etc.. we did appreciate that there was a coffee pot and washer &dryer though.
