Perched in the heart of Corolla, you will have easy access to coastal attractions, white sand, and warm water. When you find yourself at home base, everyone will love starting each day with a fresh cup of coffee on the furnished deck until the temperature rises and the sparkling pool becomes the hub for fun in the sun. Plus, the eight-person hot tub will be just the place to finish off each day under the pinks and purples of the sunset.

Inside, the fun won't stop, as this layout this absolutely ideal for larger groups and families. Split into three floors, Shore Thing boasts a full kitchen, an accommodating dining table, and an open living area on the top floor that will be ideal for gathering with everyone for meals or movie nights. Plus, the primary suite also calls this third-level home with an ensuite bath. Head down to the second level and you will find four more bedrooms including another primary suite with an attached bath complete with a jetted tub. Two of these bedrooms also have access to the mid-level wraparound deck! The kiddos and young at heart will love hanging out downstairs because two bunk rooms, a wet bar, a flatscreen TV, and a pool table await for unlimited entertainment and a bit of friendly competition. Great family rental

Plenty of space for 11 people with adults having their own rooms. Place was clean. Pool was great. Walking distance to the beach. Close to local sites and groceries. TVs didn’t work well - we tried replacing batteries in remotes. The cookware could use some updating but the kitchen was otherwise serviceable and there weren’t fridges in the house which was helpful for a big crowd.

We loved staying this property! The pool was awesome & it was walking distance to the beach! The house was clean & fully stocked! Plenty of towels, blankets & extra pillows! The kitchen was fully stocked as well - so many plates, cups, bowls, etc. it also had a coffee pot, small crockpot, toaster, serving dishes and such! Only complaint was multiple nails were popping up on the deck so we kept tripping and stubbing toes - we actually hammered in a decent amount of them because the kids kept tripping. Also, the fridge in the basement didn’t have the best seal so we opted to use it more like a cooler since it wasn’t keeping things that cold.

Horrible customer service, unclean property

Upon arriving to the property, several rooms were not cleaned, piles of dirt on the kitchen floor, pet stains on the carpets, bugs on the window sills, toilets uncleaned, tubs full of water and large pile of dirty linens in the hall. There was a large crack in the countertop that was sharp and dangerous for children. We contacted Vacasa immediately upon arrival, and did not receive any response from the local company until the next day. They offered to come clean, but stated that we needed to vacate the property to do so - very difficult to do when there were families with a total of 6kids under the age of 5. We asked for them to waive the cleaning fee and are still waiting for them to respond. To top it all off, we got an arbitrary charge after we left. When we called to inquire about the charge, they had entered it under the wrong renter. A month later we are still waiting for that to be refunded. I will never be renting from a Vacasa managed company again. Miserable experience.

My kind of location

This home was only a couple blocks from the beach and a mile or 2 from the drive on the beach to see the wild horses. The lighthouse and wildlife center was also within a mile. Seafood market and grocery shopping within 3 miles; Away from the hustle and bustle of the southern towns like Duck and Kitty Hawk but close enough if you want to go to Jockeys Ridge but be prepared to be in traffic. We loved being away from the busyness.
