While this house was very clean and in a perfect location, there were many factors that will keep me from rebooking. The pre-check in process alone was enough. The host required a photo of each guest's drivers license, phone, and email. I understand the need to keep certain people out, but hotels only require an ID and contact info from 1 person. The incessant communication was overbearing. I was charged in full when I booked and continued to receive texts asking if I knew of anyone coming to the area or if I would book another stay before even arriving. I was constantly contacted to upgrade or “add on” for a fee but when we needed the toilet fixed, there was no response until the following day asking if we wanted to stay another night for a fee. One of the main reasons for booking this location was because of the number of full baths it has. Every little thing is an extra charge. If you indicated 5 people are staying on the initial booking but a 6th or 7th joins afterward, expect to be charged extra. Even if the house accommodates that many people. Need an extra parking spot or want to check in an hour early, extra charge for both. Considering the overall cost to book, the additional charges are over the top and I only outlined a few. I also had to inquire about being refunded for the pet fee multiple times and am still awaiting the reversal. This entire experience was unenjoyable and is a glimpse at how much friction you’ll experience.
