I can’t come up with enough positive adjectives to do justice to this property and its wonderful owner. However, I must mention the beauty of the surroundings, both on property and off; the wonderful farm products (both meat and vegetable) available nearby; the very high standards of design and comfort of the house itself; and the sense of serenity that very soon enveloped me upon arrival and stayed with me to the end. A few practical notes are in order. First, the kitchenette, though small, is well-equipped and extremely functional for one or two people. I was able to cook delicious meals using local products throughout my stay. Second, if you want to use the piano, you need to know that it’s actually a MIDI controller, very high quality with an excellent action, but not a late model, so you’ll need to have a laptop to which you can download the proper drive (available on the Roland website) in order to make sound. I did so and then used Garageband with my laptop’s built-in speakers.It’s a very special place and I hope to be a repeat visitor.

Magical.

An unassuming hidden gem. Perfect for those who enjoy the outdoors and privacy. Even with not the best weather we still had an amazing time. Looking forward to another booking during a different time of the year.

Amazing place to enjoy for a weekend away!

I would highly recommend this property for couples or small families for a weekend together. The cabin is clean, modern, filled with thought out additions to make your stay special and memorable. The grounds private and beautiful with walks and hikes available for all types of outdoor expertise the host Cheryl was wonderful. Welcoming, informative and available to help or guide you through the stay if anything you need. You won't find a better place and licationthen this one for a weekend away. With Kingston, wineries, distilleries, farms, hikes, and beautiful downtown rhineback close by for a day or evening trip. Thank you Cheryl! We will definitely be back. We loved it!

Beautiful property / great hosts!

My husband and I rented the property during family weekend for our daughter’s boarding school. The property was perfect for two people. It is close to Many attractions and I really enjoyed hiking the property and sitting at the lake. The host were unbelievably kind and helpful! We would definitely stay there again!

A woodland paradise

Nicely Renovated Duchess County Barn

We very much enjoyed our 3-night stay at the converted barn. The space was open and clean, with windows looking out over gardens and forests. The host was helpful and informative. The spot was excellent, with a bucolic setting out your door, including ponds and woodland streams steps away—a perfect place to explore the surrounding towns and attractions or just relax and listen to the frogs and crickets.

The perfect place for a weekend away.

The property and grounds are beautiful, and the carriage house is comfortably outfitted with everything we could have possibly needed. Lots of great places to explore in the area. Cheryl went above and beyond; she is one of the most caring and gracious hosts we have met.

Great weekend!

My husband and I had a great time. Property and grounds are beautiful and very well maintained with cute pond, waterfalls and trails. Looks even better then described. It’s modern and cozy with thoughtful details. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Cheryl was a great host and gave us a lot of recommendations and information on the aria.
