The house had everything we needed from kitchen tools to towels. It even included coolers, Bluetooth speakers, beach chairs and outdoor activities. Our host was available for questions if we needed help or direction but was invisible.

In the dictionary of vacation villas, under the word perfect, is the Vista Del Mar, on the island of St. Croix. We have been to the island five times, and went this year to celebrate our 25th anniversary. This villa is exquisite! The view of the ocean, the city, and Buck Island is spectacular. The pool is perfectly situated with multiple lounge chairs to enjoy either sun or shade, your choice. In an era of VRBO properties supplying less and less supplies, this villa has about everything you can imagine. Wanna go to the beach? Beach chairs, beach towels, beach toys, and even paddleboards are there for you. Wanna enjoy the pool? All there. Including a wonderful bluetooth speaker system.Wanna cook in? EVERYTHING is there, from spices, to appliances, to a beautiful outdoor grilling area.Need information on the Island, the city, dining areas, or anything at all? Owner Laura is near and always available. Want total privacy? Just let her know, and you will never see her. But she is a lovely young lady, and a joy to get to know!! And please say hello to Lilly the Wonderdog!The pictures of the villa tell it all, and they are all real, as to what you will see if you visit. We had a most perfect week, and will be back.

Wow! Just wow!!! Words and pictures do not accurately portray just have spectacular the views are from this beautiful home. Perched so high on the hill the views are breathtaking. The home is immaculate with all conveniences you could ever wish for. Laura, the owner/host is amazing! She will give you all the privacy you need and then all the help you need should you want it. Ton's of puzzles and games, fantastic TV's, furniture, beds, pool, outdoor kitchen and comfortable deck chairs. Highly recommend!

Great week at STX

This is a top of the line property. Excellent views, condition and overall set up/layout. I would describe this property as "Extra" as the host has been incredibly thoughtful about what a family on vacation needs and wants. We spent several days at the house (pool days) and several days exploring the island. The host has everything you need for a day around the pool or to go to the beach (coolers, tumblers, towels, chairs, snorkel gear, umbrellas). Kitchen is professional grade stocked with everything you need/want. This is one of the best properties we have stayed at hands down!

Best Experience Ever

First of all Laura was a dream host. She was very attentive and found out it was my birthday and even baked me a chocolate cake which was delicious. The home description and pics online really doesn't do this home justice. I travel back to St. Croix pretty much every year and I must say that this home was perfect. From the curb appeal to to the outdoor kitchen to the little amenities and touches. It was perfect. And not to mention the best views we have had on the island. Our little visitor Lily (Laura's teacup poodle) was an adorable surprise to our stay. Laura did a great job designing and decorating. Will be returning for sure.

Another lovely stay at our own private resort

This was our second stay at Vista Del Mar, and it was just as lovely as the first. The house is beautiful, bright, well maintained and with spectacular views and amenities (pool, firepit, decks, outdoor dining spot and grill). Lots of beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc. to help explore the island. One of us was sick with probable flu while there and Laura provided a little basket of helpful things like pain reliever, mouthwash, essential oils (for sinus congestion), and the like that helped us through the very inconveniently timed illness. Though I guess I'd rather let the sun and sea air help with recuperation than the dismal snow/rain/grey skies of home! Laura is very easy to get hold of and helpful in answering any questions, but not intrusive in the slightest. A perfectly charming host!

Breath taking amazing

From the moment we walked in, the views and amenities were amazing! We were so impressed by the online pictures but nothing compared to the actual vista from all the rooms and outdoor spaces. Laura is the best host and so accommodating. She has thought of everything. The furniture is so clean and comfortable. The kitchen and pantry so well appointed that Gordon Ramsey couldn’t get upset. Beds were comfortable and left us well rested for the next day’s adventure. We could see the sunrise peaking over the hill and sunsets were spectacular. Outdoor dining and kitchen a perfect extension to the wow of the indoors. We can’t wait to book again!!!

Nothing short of Amazing!

We spent a week at the property and were absolutely WOWed from the moment we arrived until the sad day of departure. The host was so helpful and personable. She often went the extra mile and was happy to do what ever she could to make our stay at her home, and on the island in general, great. She was available and present but was never intrusive. She is great! The home was beyond beautiful! Laura has done an amazing job from the kitchen and shared areas to each of the bedroom suites. The pictures in the listing only capture a portion of all we found—personal robes, slippers, bathroom products beyond the usual, soft ice machine, wine cooler and so much more! Everything was comfortable, well thought out, and well cared for. The pool, cabana, and fire pit we also great! The garden is breath taking as are the views from just about everywhere inside and outside of the house. We had an amazing trip and would surely book this home again without hesitation and would reccomend it 100% to anyone considering staying here. I would say to rent a jeep, the hills are beautiful but may not be well suited for a sedan travel!

Incredible View and Home

Vista del Mar is truly an exceptional vacation home. The house is tastefully decorated, outfitted with anything you could want or need, elegant yet comfortable, and the views are spectacular. One clear day we saw St. Thomas, St. John's and some BVIs. The outside pool, patio, fire pit and outdoor kitchen areas made it easy to relax and find privacy, even with a big family group. The location on St. Croix is above it all and still close to many beaches, restaurants, shopping and charter boats. Laura is a fantastic host, unobtrusive and yet available to help out as needed, from house info to restaurant and excursion intel. If you're going to St. Croix, this is a great choice for accommodation.

Absolutely the best VRBO ever!!

Laura’s place is nothing short of amazing. She thinks through all of the extra special details like the welcome drink and the robes and slippers and down to the logistics like shampoo/conditioner/body wash, soap, paper towels, tissues, dishwasher tabs, etc. You will want for nothing! Check in was great, as Laura met us near the home and led us up the hill to the place. She gave us amazing food recommendations and we enjoyed everything: The pool and outdoor areas are amazing - tons of place to sit and tools for an outdoor BBQ around the fire pit. And the views - literally amazing! You cannot beat this place. If for some reason you’re on the fence, you should absolutely book this without any hesitation. When we return to STX we won’t stay anywhere else! The pictures truly don’t do the place justice! Thank you, Laura! Can’t wait to come back soon!

Wow! Wonderful and Memorable Stay at Vista Del Mar!

Laura was responsive throughout our pre-arrival timeframe, sending helpful information & recommendations (which were spot-on, every time, in every category). When we arrived, Laura was warm & welcoming, giving us a tour of the house, tips on how to get around & more recommendations. The house was filled w/thoughtful touches to make our stay easier & more enjoyable. The kitchen was very well stocked w/everything we could possibly need. The house itself was extremely clean & comfortable, w/strong, reliable WiFi, & the ability to open up the sliding doors & pass-through windows in the kitchen, creating a constant cross breeze & the perfect open air environment. You can stand anywhere on the property, or in the house, & have gorgeous water views, or turn your back to the water & enjoy equally gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. The large outdoor space & deck areas provide a great balance of sun or shade, depending on your preference & the time of day. Laura has carefully & lovingly curated every small detail of this home & property to provide comfort, ease & an upscale getaway experience. She was an amazing hostess, remaining easy to reach & extremely responsive throughout our stay, while always making us feel like we were staying w/a friend. This is a truly special place – the kind of place you don’t want to leave when the end of your stay arrives. We can’t thank you enough for hosting our family at Vista Del Mar. The best vacation of our lives

The house is immaculate and exactly as depicted. The views are stunning and Laura was a truly incredible host. We stayed the entire week of Thanksgiving and had cooking obligations for dinner. The house lacked absolutely nothing- fully stocked with every utensil possible which made cooking several dishes a breeze. Laura is so hands on and attentive is an understatement. She thought of everything, high end furniture, bug spray, blue tooth speakers, Margaritaville drink mixer! The 270° views were bar none. We won’t stay anywhere else on St. Croix. 10/10 stars!

Annual Couples Trip (Family) - Simply the BEST!

Vista Del Mar is an extraordinary Villa on an amazing island with an EXCEPTIONAL Host/Owner! Our group consisted of three couples- (family) that travel annually together. We have extremely high standards/expectations and we thoroughly research each of the properties/locations. Laura met us nearby and we followed her to the property. The property description was spot on and couldn’t have been any more accurate and the views are incredibly beautiful. I have to say that we were truly blessed to find this location! Laura is the Host with the Most! She is extremely attentive and considerate. She is available to answer any questions, provide recommendations on anything we need, and is even willing to take care of the shopping if needed. High-end EVERYTHING for this home. EVERYTHING you need and the kitchen… WOW (for those fellow cooks) it was amazing from the W&S plates to every small appliance (air fryer, blenders, slow cooker, etc.) The thought that Laura put into guests' needs and their overall experience is amazing. She thought of everything. The house was spotless and again even more beautiful in person (how can that be, right??). The fact that each bedroom had an ensuite was perfect! All in all, we had an amazing time and can’t wait to return! Laura, you and your home were the highlight of our trip. We can’t wait to see you again VERY SOON! Amazing Property

Vista Del Mar is a special place on a beautiful island. We were three couples on a first trip to St. Croix. This turned out to be the perfect property for us. We had very high expectations based on the reviews and this property managed to exceed our expectations. The location has spectacular views of Christiansted and Buck Island (spectacular day and night). There is a beautifully landscaped yard with a refreshing pool, relaxing gas firepit, and a great outdoor kitchen/dining area. There are several decks on the property, with very nice furniture, that also provide great views. The house is exceptionally clean, beautifully furnished and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need, including high-end appliances and a soft ice machine. The three bedrooms, each with a beautiful en suite bathroom, were perfect for three couples. It was also nice to have beach chairs, towels, coolers, sand shoes, etc. available to explore the great beaches. The bottom line is that Laura has demonstrated an exceptional attention to detail. We have stayed at several VRBO properties and had very good experiences, but nothing quite like this. Thank you, Laura, for sharing your beautiful home and for your unforgettable hospitality!
