After checking in and arriving to our rooms the doors were wide open, upon entering the room we were immediately hit with a musky wet smell, first thing we noticed was the rusty lamp shade, then the black marks up the wall by the bed, missing paint,what appeared to be water damage near the ptac unit, mold? in the exhaust fan light that also sounded like a blender full of bolts, what appeared to be greasy hand prints above the toilet on the wall, a hinge pin nearly out of the entry door hinge, rust on nearly every metal surface near the bathroom, filth on the arms of the two chairs in the room, you could scrape it off with your finger nail. Rooms were missing wash clothes and hand towels, no comforters, just sheets. I thought that was the worst of it until breakfast came, I expected a standard Wyndham breakfast, no where near it, for bread/baked goods there wasn't nearly a loaf of wheat/white split evenly on two shelves laid flat, maybe 12 pieces total, no muffins or pastries, no more than 6 cups of yogurt, maybe eight apples, an empty container of fruit loops and a nearly empty container of raisin bran, aside from coffee, milk, and juice that was it, breakfast was from 7:00Am to 10:00 Am and we showed up at 7:10am. All I have to say is to avoid this place unless you have absolutely no other choice. I genuinely hated my stay, if I hadn't paid for the room nearly a month in advance I would not have stayed.

Comfortable room

The room was comfortable. Had an issue using the coffee maker as there weren’t enough electric outlets and had to move it to the dresser to use it. The bathroom was not set up for short persons as the towel rack is very high. The handicap ramp is one one side of the building but the parking is on the other side. Even with all these issues, the stay was okay.

This was in a great location. Close to everything in Chincoteague and a short drive to Assateague. The pool and grounds were in great condition. The staff was friendly. Only downsides were the room was a bit humid, and the continental breakfast was meager.

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. We have stayed in Chincoteague many times but have never stayed here. Staff was very kind. We will certainly be back!
