Staff was amazing. This hotel is very old and not worth the prices. Wall paper coming off wall, water stains on ceiling and walls, loose tiles in bathroom.

Room was okay—- hotel is not quite as nice as many other Hamptons I have stayed wit—needed some perking-up—or really deep cleaning in hallways, elevator, common areas, etc….. staff was marginally cordial—saw 5-6 different Indians at desk—who were curt, short-but certainly NOT friendly or giving out friendly welcoming customer service attitudes.

Good: Breakfast; also, free cookies, coffee, lemonade while we waited for our room Staff is very friendly and helpful Bed and pillows comfortable Bad: sink had obvious (green) dried toothpaste in it, a dozen or so clear little rubber bands all over the bathroom (so counters and floors not wiped/mopped). Tub/shower looked clean enough but there was a slight moldy smell. Overall about what I expected for an overnight for a longer roadtrip. Childress doesn't have a lot going for it but this Hampton Inn is probably the best place to stay. Walmart next door was convenient, too.

The air conditioning unit in our room was very noisy and kept waking me up. The floor on one side of the bed was wet, possibly from a leak? The coffee was full of coffee grounds. I tried to tell the person on the desk when we left, but don’t now how long I would have had to wait for her to get off the phone.
