QUAINT COZY COUNTRY GETAWAY , close to nearby attractions ,
close to stores, antique and craft shops, and various coffee shops, restaurants and diners.
There is a local Town Library which welcomes summer memberships, also a Museum both located in the new Chester Municipal Center.
During the summer and fall, there is a farmer's market that hosts not only a variety of fresh produce, but also local vendors wares, such as baked goods, hand made crafts, jewelry, etc.
At the nearby Dynamite Hill Recreation Area are walking and hiking trails and the Summer Sunset Concerts. There is a local golf course and riding stables also nearby.
Friends Lake, Loon Lake and Brant Lake offer public beaches and boat launches and there is excellent fishing and canoe access sites for the Schroon River and Hudson River. Within a few miles radius are many excellent restaurants offering a variety of Fine Dining experiences.
