In order to close the door, you have to slam it so all you hear is the door is being slammed all day all night. It's noisy. The beds were uncomfortable. There's no water kettle. The only thing good about it. The shower worked pretty good and that's about it.

Perfect Normandy accommodation

We stayed 4 nights at this location. It was very quiet, spotlessly clean and very pretty. Our hosts couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Breakfast was an overall pleasant experience with some home made goodies. Fell in love with the family pet dog Talie. Would definitely stay here again 👍

Property clean, cheap and safe. Quiet due to being a weekend. Buildings tired, only one plug socket in the room. Vending machines out of order. Breakfast choice basic. Manageress lovely and very helpful. She spoke excellent English. We would use again as a stopover.

I liked the fact that it was cheap, clean, comfortable and very close to the Ferry Terminal in Cherbourg. I didn't like the attitude of the young female receptionist at all; there was a misunderstanding about the booking. I had personally reserved and payed for two bedrooms. She claimed there was only one room reserved. When I tried to show her the print-out of the reservation confirmation e-mail, which clearly indicated that two rooms had been reserved, she simply ignored it, even saying at one point that if I wasn't happy I could go find another hotel. The misunderstanding was finally cleared up and I and the friend I was travelling with got our two separate rooms. Had the receptionist not been so obdurate the issue could have been resolved almost immediately. I would not stay again in the same hotel for that reason.

Reliable, convenient and comfortable

We needed an overnight stop in Cherbourg. The hotel was easy to get to from the ferry, with the convenience of parking outside your room. Hotel staff were friendly, and breakfast was really good (and good value). An unexpected bonus, on the evening we arrived, was an artisan bakery / café 300 yards away, which served excellent sandwiches and cakes. The only problem to be aware of is if you arrive late: reception closes at 21.00.

You get what you pay for!

Good cheap little hotel with all what we needed. Staff were friendly, room was clean and breakfast was ok. Ideal place for staying over after ferry crossing or before departing. Easy to find although not much open around.

Comfortable overnight stop in basic hotel

This is a simple hotel that gives you what you need for an overnight sleep, shower and breakfast. The lady who runs it, Magali, is delightful and welcoming, and is the reason we would stay again. The 50 "no frills" rooms in a 3 floor block are accessed from external landings. Rooms are simply furnished and crowded with beds, but the beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. Everything works, including shower/toilet, washbasin, plenty of hot water, TV and free WiFi. Sleeps 3 per room.

Within close proximity of the ferry terminal. Late arrival (after 10pm), had to check in using credit card similar to an ATM machine. Small room (2 adults and 1 toddler) but ideal for a stopover for under £30
