I grew up on a farm, so I knew what to expect. My family thought it was great! The apartment is actually in the barn, so every morning I was able to open the door and say good morning to the goats and ducks. Our apartment was awesome and very accommodating. We sat by the fire pit every night, loved up the goats, and waded in the creek, such a fun experience. You can also learn to milk a goat! Our hosts also offered classes. Goat milk soap making. Design and make your own full loaf (10 bars) of cold process soap. Materials and handouts provided so you can continue your soap making journey when you go home. Cordage making class: making rope from dried plants that can be used to create a variety of products and Mandala rock painting for beginners. We found perfect smooth river rocks in the creek and learned the techniques used to create beautiful patterns. It was like taking little piece of the haven home with you.

Goat Inn greatness!
I felt like I was staying with family. The beds were so comfortable I didn't want to get up. The goats were great hosts;) and the rest of the animals were so fun to be around. There was a lovely fire pit that we used in the evening and our check in and out were extremely easy and stress free!

Magical Weekend with Wonderful Hosts
My son and I had the pleasure on staying at Dave and Miken's farm while visiting the Burlington area. Our only regret was that we didn't have more time spend at the farm itself! The property is exactly as described and pictured. The guest bungalow is small but cozy, and between the goats, doggos, ducks and a suprise visit from the pig welcoming committee (they had us in hysterics), we spent very little time inside. The goats make excellent flat-mates and my son and I had fun trying to pick out all their unique calls and tones of voice. We were introduced to All of them by name and quickly learned your favorite spots for dental scratches and attention.Dave and Miken were so incredibly warm and generous with their time, we were immediately made to feel at home. They were there to meet us when we arrived, despite some changes in our eta, and were beyond kind, happy to teach us as much (or as little) as we wanted to know about their farm.We hope to return soon. Dave and Miken's farm is truly an oasis of peace for animal and nature lovers!

Heavenly Haven
A couple of days at the Huntress Haven was exactly what I needed! I was able to relax, enjoy the rhythm of the farm (goats, pigs, and ducks), and take in the beautiful scenery. The bungalow was cozy and had everything I needed. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure everything was enjoyable. I’m definitely planning a return trip!

Due to circumstance, we were not able to stay the full night, but the hosts were awesome and the area was stunning. The goats were so cute! The place we would have slept was clean and accommodating. I would take my kids here for the experience.

Quick wedding stay/Goat adventure
What a fun weekend we had!! David & Miken were as nice as could be. The goats, pigs, and dogs were amazing too! We were only in town for 2 nights, for a family wedding, but the goats were sooo much fun! We absolutely plan on coming back for a longer stay, to explore the full amenities of the farm, and to enjoy the GORGEOUS location. The vrbo space was small but mighty. Far better than we even had hoped! Lots of room for sleeping (max 5 for sure) Not much room for hanging out inside, but it's Vermont; there are great outdoor spaces set aside for guests, and mountains, and a river, and GOATS! Thanks for a wonderful weekend! David & Miken!

Incredible Family Farm Experience
We had the best time at the goat farm! It was definitely rustic, but cozy and welcoming in all the right ways. The kids were in heaven—they got to milk goats, feed them, and explore the whole property. They haven’t stopped talking about it!It felt like stepping into a slower, simpler rhythm of life, and we loved every minute of it. It’s not fancy, but it’s full of heart—and the memories we made here are the kind that stick. If you’re up for a little adventure and don’t mind getting your hands (or boots) a little dirty, this is such a special place to unwind and reconnect.

Educational & delightful spring break
We don't usually visit Vermont in mud season so that was an education in itself. But we came to see family: the goats were just an added bonus adventure, a little test to see if the city kids would enjoy the farm. 100% wonderful experience: feeding a pen full of friendly baby goats, softer than puppies, milking a momma goat, learning their names, markings, the business, etc, just a delight. Dave & Miken showed love & enthusiasm for the work, & for my children. The cabin was very warm & cozy, beds were soft, Nespresso coffee yum, & surprisingly little smells or noise made it through the walls from the goats. We could tell in the morning when it was feeding times but mostly we slept through it unless one of the kids wanted to be up for it. When on the last day our van got stuck in the mud, Dave & Miken went above & beyond the call of duty to get us out, to feed us breakfast while we waited for the truck to winch us out, to entertain the kids & let us get our last round of goat snuggles, even though they had been milking & feeding babies round the clock for days on end. Can't recommend this stay enough!
This property is so cool and unique! After a long day on the trails it was great to come to the barn say hi to the goats and step in to the bungalow and it was nice and warm. The owner was so cooperative with the check in process as he met me first thing in the morning so I could go enjoy the trails. Trails lead right to the door! Thank you for a great stay and will return very soon

Incredible spot for a rustic getaway
The hosts were super communicative and accommodating to everything we needed, even going so far as to give us a tour of the property when we arrived late at night. The space is super cozy (we stayed during a snow showers and very cold weather) and we loved being able to relax in the super modern and clean living space while being able to feed all the wonderful goats just outside. Being introduced to each goat on a first name basis and being told about their personality was so funny,. We will absolutely be back for a longer stay, can't recommend this place enough!
