Relaxing time in woods

We enjoyed our stay. Loved hearing the river by and getting to do some hiking. We went into Salem Va to visit our college student and catch a banana ball game. Communications with the host was great!

The Mountain house

We choose this place for the hot tub and rural location. Our stay was perfectly nice and quiet. This is a great place to stay if you have dogs. We didn't. We came for the tub and quiet away from everything and we got it. One thing I can say is our host , Teresa was damn attentive to our needs. Anything and anytime.

Quiet Escape

We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return. The house was tucked away about 3 miles from Crabtree Falls. We enjoyed morning walks, lots of stars, an awesome hot tub and a clean and well-equipped house. The hosts were attentive and responded promptly to questions.

Cozy Mountain Getaway

We loved our stay here! What a great scenic & remote retreat! There was more than enough room and had everything we needed. Lots of games of family game night and we enjoyed the hot tub. Only wish we could've stayed longer!

A very peaceful place

We loved our stay at Teresa’s place. It was spacious, clean and such a relaxing retreat. Teresa was so helpful in giving suggestions of places to eat and things to do around there. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and the peaceful surroundings. Overall a great place to stay!

Just what we needed!

Perfect place to relax and recharge. The mountain air smelled almost sweet with the river so close. The home has plenty of space with multiple bed and living rooms. The carport is very convenient. We totally enjoyed our weekend. You will love it!

Mountain Gem

We had a very nice stay here. Its a very quiet and peaceful area. Perfect for a weekend getaway. The house was just as described. The owner was quick to communicate with all the details. It's about 30 minutes from the house to the slopes at Wintergreen. Crabtree Falls is a must and its not far down the road from the house. Hot tub was a nice feature, especially in the winter time. They had dog beds and toys for our pup too :) If you don't mind staying in an old home with its original character, I would highly recommend this place.

Super fun secluded birthday getaway.

The property has a certain welcoming feeling. you just walk into the home and can tell it has been lived in, but i say that in the best way. it was a warm and cozy home that you just felt the love in. some times you rent on these apps and the homes don’t feel like a home and i will be booking with this host again. she was so helpful and got back to me within minutes during our stay. i would love to visit again in the summer.

Girls Trip

This was a great little place for a getaway from the beach to the mountains. The house is in a great central location for several wineries, distilleries, and breweries for us to venture out to and then come back to a comfortable, quiet place to stay. They have a lot of games already there in a fun game room, along with a hot tub and a large fire pit perfect for groups and cooking! They even had CD's, Movies, and books for you to enjoy as well.

Great spot to enjoy nature

Stayed here one night because we needed a halfway spot to SC. Wish we would have stayed a couple days. Ran to town to grab some things after we arrived and seen about every animal you could in the area including 2 bobcats.

Relaxing

Properly is secluded in a quiet, natural setting. However, lots to do around from wineries and breweries, to hiking, to just exploring. We enjoyed all the amenities: hot tub, grill, fire pit, Foosball, and hammock. The house was large and spacious: plenty of room to hang out some of with the facility. Wish the river had been accessible but it was nice to listen to it! We very much enjoyed the deck to just sit with coffee, have dinner, or playing cards with a few drinks. We only had 2 concerns: First, although the house was exceptionally clean, both shower stalls needed a thorough, deep cleaning. Second, there was a lot of junk clutter around the grounds, hot tub, and outdoor game room. Not really safe for littles or curious kids. None of it kept us from having great time! Thank you for having us!

Weekend Retreat Bliss

The house was just as promised! It is a home away from home with more. We had an overnight stay prior to Skyline drive and relaxed with a meal and hot tub visit prior to showers and a needed rest in a big comfy bed that led out to a massive side yard with a fire pit we are sorry to say we didn’t have time to light. This was all while being serenaded by the sounds of the creek beside the property. Only thing I can suggest, which is outside the hosts responsibility that they did mention the distance to groceries (very thorough in communications, but we tend to wing it til we are sitting in the car deciding); do some research on places to dine with emphasis on the week (local concerts and breweries/cideries in the area with music for a good time!). Honestly looking forward to trying to plan a trip with friends at this place!

Fireflies + Full Moon = Amazing Experience!

We love staying at Teresa’s house! This is our 3rd time coming back as the house brings so many opportunities to connect as a family and unplug from the city life. We watch fireflies and the full moon the second night. It is dog friendly which my Golden Retriever definitely enjoy it as well. we recommend staying at Teresa’s getaway home!

Cozy and relaxing

We loved our stay at Teresas place! Teresa was an amazing host, she went out of her way to send me links of different things in the area we could enjoy doing with the kids. The house was nice any cozy, enough room for everyone. The hot tub and pool table was a hit with the husband and kids. We will definitely go back again.

Grandma's house

Property is cozy like coming home to Grandma's. Everything was as described. Hot tub was very nice. Fire pit great for cooking and chilling. Loved that the master suite was right of the deck. Host is very attentive. Stores, brewery, winery very close. Even so...definitely off the beaten path! We were disappointed that the creek wasn't more accessible but the kids found a way. Lovely night sounds- frogs and the creek. Star filled skies...we came in a new moon. Had a beautiful morning thunderstorm. Only critique would be a lot of old junk laying around in the surrounding woods. Made us a bit nervous letting the kids explore. Lots of butterflies! But beware...the spiders like the hot tub.

Quiet and romantic

This property has everything you need. Tv's, hot tubs, blankets, fire pit, board games, condiments in the fridge. So many more things! It was very secluded and quiet. I wasn't bothered by the no cell service since there was wifi! We had a great stay!!!
