We’ve stayed at this home several times now, and it’s become one of our favorite family traditions. It’s the perfect getaway — ideal for families or a small group of friends. The location couldn’t be better: walking distance to everything in town and just a short drive to Petoskey, the Tunnel of the Trees, and so many great spots nearby.Each visit has been a wonderful mix of comfort, convenience, and connection. The home is always clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully set up for guests. We look forward to returning each year — it’s truly a special place that’s become part of our family’s story.

The rental is beautiful, well equipped and awesome location. We had a problem with the entrance code one night, we weren't able to contact the host right away but we eventually were able to connect and he was more than helpful and gracious. Very nice man. We did call the VRBO contact center at the time and they were less than helpful, spent an hour on the phone with them, did not get any help and discovered they have no emergency plan in place. Very disappointed in VRBO itself but the host and rental were awesome!!!

This place is the most amazing place. The house is very clean, comfortable and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The location is perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the boats go by. The beach is steps away and you can walk to town to enjoy everything Charlevoix has to offer.

We had an incredible time in Charlevoix in the Palmer House. The house was relaxing, cozy and just what our family needed. The beds were very comfortable, including the pillows, the baths/showers were great and the kitchen was awesome. The beach chairs and towels made our treks to the beach convenient and relaxing. Mornings and evenings on the front porch rocking chairs helped start and close our days.

Coffee on the Porch

Overall we loved it but there were some down sides, especially for us since we were all over 77. We knew there were stairs but these were steep and short in depth. Fine for the young but not us. Since it was warm, fans would have been appreciated. The chairs to the table were uncomfortable to try and do a puzzle or even eat since there were no backs and they were tall. I knew there was probably something between the house and the water since no view was pictured. Indeed, a parking lot. But due to time of year it was mostly empty and was not a distraction. We had never seen that type of keypad before so more instructions would have been helpful. Now the great: the location was fantastic, the porch was so neat to sit on and watch the boats go by, we had a buck and a doe join us on several days, it was quiet and very relaxing. Also a nice neighbor. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Perfect Spot

We had a big group for a wedding in Charlevoix and this place made the experience extra special. From the location to the quality of the house it gave us a great family memory. We don't travel a lot and Tim made the process very easy. I would definitely go back there again.

My favorite vacation get away

This house is perfect for a vacation getaway. There is plenty of space and has everything you need. It’s clean and newly updated and furnished. The location makes it especially nice just steps from the beach and a short walk to town. We loved sitting on the front deck watching the boats go by on the channel. Our host was great and quickly responded to any questions.

Perfect location for a week away

Super comfortable house perfectly situated a short walk to downtown Charlevoix. House was clean (we enjoyed watching the roomba). Kitchen seemed well stocked although too many good restaurants in Charlevoix so we didn’t cook much. Will definitely book here again next time we come to northern Michigan.
