"Very frustrated by staff’s apparent lack of concern about some older kids nonstop running back and forth and jumping from the beds for literally hours in the room above us. We tolerated this for the first hour but really needed to get to sleep early. Called the front desk to ask them to contact the room and ask for peace. Nothing changed. I finally got dressed and walked out to the desk. Was told that the parents said they’d be putting the kids down in 20 minutes or so. This was well after 20 minutes. Asked if they would please contact the room again and let them know people were trying to sleep. The noise still went on until after 9:15, a good 45 minutes after my second complaint. When I mentioned this on checkout the next morning the desk clerk said “But it was only 7:30”, as if that excused/explained allowing tremendously inconsiderate behavior to continue. I get that kids will be kids but a hotel has a responsibility to ALL the guests. If I were playing my tv at maximum volume or having a loud argument when others were trying to sleep I don’t think that would have been tolerated for 2.5 hours like this was. We had two quiet dogs with us and it was difficult to keep them from barking as they were startled awake over and over by the very loud thumping coming from the ceiling. The person in the room next to us also commented on the “herd of elephants” above."
