Dusty and Filthy conditions around Hotel

I was visiting Varanasi for film shoot with expensive equipment. At the time of booking the property kept the surrounding conditions hidden from me. Only upon reaching I found out the main road is under construction and there is tons of dust in the air for almost 3 miles of distance and travelling thru it was extremely dangerous for my equipment. Upon request I asked them that I want to cancel my reservation and move to different hotel. I did move to another hotel right on my first day and this hotel refused to refund my money even when explained that it’s the harmful environment for my equipment as well as my health. I would definitely stay away from a hotel whose management was not upfront of the condition of the building which was covered with dust. Forget my equipment, it’s dangerous to breathe in such conditions. Would definitely stay away from this property for next 3 to 4 years until that part of the city is developed or property posts the accurate information of the environmental condition. Book at your own risk. I lost my entire money.

Tourists not welcome and the spa doesn’t exist

This hotel is a wedding venue. Other guests are made to feel like a great inconvenience. Staff were mostly rude and unfriendly and prioritised wedding parties. We had booked three nights there at the end of our travels around India, looking forward to relaxing in the spa on our last day. The spa doesn’t actually exist. The gym was locked up and the pool was, like the rest of the hotel, unwelcoming. Restaurant and bar service incredibly slow. Don’t stay here.
