The property is situated in Žerovnica, a charming village in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia known for its peaceful rural setting and traditional architecture. It\'s an ideal base for exploring some of Slovenia\'s most fascinating karst landscapes, including lakes, caves, hiking trails and traditional villages. There is a restaurant a 2-minute walk away and a grocery store a 9-minute drive away in Cerknica.

Nearby Bloško lake (a 15-minute drive) makes a great day out and is suitable for swimming and fishing; trout, redfish and crayfish. Slovenia\'s famous seasonal Lake Cerknica (a 25-minute drive) is also worth visiting and is surrounded by unspoilt nature. Other nearby excursions include a trip to the beautiful natural landscapes of Rakov Škocjan (a 20-minute drive), the mysterious underground world of Postojna (a 30-minute drive) and Škocjan Caves (a 1-hour drive), the stud farm in Lipica (a 1-hour drive) and the capital city Ljubljana (a 1-hour drive).

The surrounding area is also great for cycling, hiking through the forest region, picking fruits, horseback riding and in winter, snow kites, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating.
