A beautiful village house

A character home in the medieval village of Caunes Minervois, nestled at the foot of the Montagne Noire, in the heart of the Languedoc wine-growing region, Cathar country and Tour de France territory.
The house, built over centuries but stripped back to the medieval walls, has a secluded outside courtyard, views of the Romanesque abbey, and the Pyrenees. It sleeps 6, has 2 bathrooms, living, dining, kitchen, all newly upgraded, and a lovely library/2nd lounge on the top floor.
The historic medieval village, at the edge of the Montagne Noire National Park, is a fabulous base from which to explore Cathar castles, cycle Tour de France stages, visit the ancient cities of Carcassonne, Narbonne, Beziers, walk, indulge in fresh village food, markets, and the wines of the Languedoc- Roussillon region. The beach is just 45 minutes away.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, an electric kettle, and an ironing board. Housekeeping is available on request.
