Overall, this is an excellent property in which to stay in Castlemaine. It was well located close to the town centre, well presented, spacious, clean and comfortable. In our case, as two couples travelling together, the home conveniently offered two largely independent living areas, upstairs and downstairs.Alternatively, it would be ideal for families with children, featuring as it does a large seperate games and play room with its own TV, and 2 smaller bedrooms with single beds suitable for children.The home was completely equipped with modern appliances and generous quantities of crockery, cutlery, glassware and cookware. Linen and towels were fresh and crisp, blankets and doonas were plentiful.One particular feature that we particularly appreciated was the outdoor terrace shaded by vines. Ideal for enjoying a glass of wine and watching the passing trains!

Deceptive from the front, and much larger than expected. Property backs onto the railway line with fairly regular VLine trains, but they didn't really bother us. 10 minute walk into the centre of town, so not too bad. Single car off street parking under shade cloth, otherwise parking outside of property is okay. Quiet street. Upstairs is spacious. Beds comfortable. Water pressure not fantastic, but okay. Outside seating on the deck is very nice. Enjoyed seeing the steam train to Maldon going past. Overall would recommend.

The house and garden were so beautiful; it was such a pleasure to stay here. It was perfect for my parents and myself and my son; as it is such a big house there is plenty of room to spread out and have privacy, but also have dinner and play board games on the big central dining table. There are also gorgeous outdoor areas over looking the exquisite garden and spectacular views to enjoy. Great location and easy to get to everything Castlemaine has to offer - walk to coffee shops, IGA etc. Check in was super easy also. It was a really comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing stay for us - highly recommend and thank you to the lovely host and family!

The accomodation was very comfortable and close to city. We loved to hear the trains going past. Being 4 elderly ladies who are not familiar with technology we would have found it helpful if there had been printed directions to operate the television. However we were very satisfied with our stay in lovely Castlemaine.

Beautiful accommodation!

I loved the warmth and character of this beautifully renovated home. As someone who values sustainable living, the features such as double-glazing, solar panels, timber floors, and dozens of indoor plants all made for a wonderful holiday experience for me and my teen kids, despite it being a very cold and rather drizzly week. It was a perfect place for us to take a restful break after an incredibly busy term, and we were all grateful for excellent WiFi, too! Highly recommended, and we'll look forwarding to visiting again in the future.
