The cabin was very clean and check in was easy. It is very quiet and enjoyable sitting on the deck. The beds were comfortable and with windows open we had good night sleep . We plan to again next summer
Google maps will take you one driveway too far. It is good to know that the turn off of the road and onto the driveway is a fairly steep decline so lower riding vehicles might scrape a bit.Another guest mentioned a strong orange air freshener odor and fortunately the same product was not used before our check-in.There are mosquitos but they are only an issue at dawn and dusk. The great thing about this cabin is that the deck does not face the closest neighbors so it really does feel private and secluded. The deck never gets full sun and is wonderful to spend time on.It was 83 degrees upstairs when we arrived but after opening windows and the sliding door and putting up window fans that we brought with us we got it cooled down to a more comfortable temperature. It would have been nice to have the thermostat set to come on at check-in time (4pm) so that when we arrived it was not so hot. There was a box fan but one blade was broken so we didn't get to use it. There was a random power outage and the host was quick to reply to our message with information and possible solutions.
The Good: The woodsy view! The cabin and surroundings are accurate in their pictures. You can see neighbors but they are not so close that you can't enjoy your solitude. Fantastic deck with good shade. (We were there in July.) It was cute and fun, we enjoyed it.The Bad: Several window/door screens were missing so we couldn't get enough airflow for a hot month, or for airing out the house. Anyone sensitive to fragrances or chemicals be aware: the cabin reeks intensely of orange air freshener. It's been sprayed on couches and curtains and it never aired out for us, especially in the basement. We all felt ill from it, especially the first night. There was one fan; more would be nice in the summer. The rocking chair pictured in the living room is broken, which was disappointing as we had looked forward to that being available to one of our party.Useful Info: Don't take a very low profile car on this driveway, no matter the time of year. Google Maps will take you past the correct driveway to the next driveway up.There are mosquitoes (at least in July).
