We were a family group of 11, aged 5 to 67. This magnificent old house was in immaculate condition and offered so much space for our group (will sleep up to 19). Set in 15 acres and with generously sized rooms this is a place to relax and chill out. Tennis courts, table tennis and petanque great fun. The pool house is fully equipped and makes using the pool area easy with little need to 'to and fro' to the main house. The pool is large, about 18 x 10 metres, and at a comfortable temperature. We all swam every day and loved it. So much to do in the Dordogne within easy reach of the manor. Canoeing from Carsac (5 minutes away), so many gorgeous villages (listed in the most beautiful villages in France) - loved Domme, a cliff top ancient town with small streets, beautiful architecture and wow views. Castles in plenty to visit - we did Beynac and recommend it - the views even better than Domme! So many underground places to explore from the beauty of stalagmites and stalagtities to how man lived centuries ago to even recent times. Recommend the Gouffre de Pourmeyssac for rock formations - fabulous. A huge LeClerc supermarket is nearby and sells everything you could need (and more) - including the local delicacy of fois gras (yum). A fabulous holiday was enjoyed by all, thank you Lynda, Matthew and Susie for all your help. Highly recommended.
