Dark patterns eveywhere

The hotel tried to charge us £30 for high speed interner service because apparently i chose this when i connected to the wifi! I live uk and have o2 so wouldn't need this. I argued this and they took it off the bill. Its called a dark pattern. Beware of scams like this. Bed was too hard. Bed cover was too thin. Bedroom was too bright as the stair light couldn't be switched off. Got a room upgrade but comfort wasnt good. Please do better hilton.

Excellent staff. Beautiful room and hotel. Fitness center. Nice kitchen facilities in room well placed so didn’t feel like kitchen was in room— really well designed. Great bar and restaurant area. Easy walk to river Cambridge for walking/running. Easy walk to Cambridge city center. I will come back!

I would not recommend it. Our room (Darwin, third floor) had a very loud air con/ventilation system disturbing us while talking or watching a movie, and it made sleeping extremely difficult. I am quite shocked that hotels are allowed to install such noisy extractors - isn't their main purpose to provide a decent place to sleep? Other than that you have to pay extra for some ridiculous things, like there is one bottle of water per stay with another charged 3£, or there is some wi-fi but high speed one is costing more. In the bathroom there is a note saying they will charge your card if you take the hand wash bottle away, which made me feel strange. The level of cleanliness was not very high, with finger marks on hangers and some fluff on the bedside tables. Overall the value for money is not there, and I wonder how other people find this place great, do they really not mind constant noise and mediocre quality charged as something high quality? Staff was nice but they did nothing to help. Swimming pool area was nice, but lockers seemed broken and the road to the leisure area was wet, including the elevator leading to it.
