The hotel rooms that we saw were very run down ( we changed a couple of times as the rooms were so poor). Communal space fairly nice as is restaurant.

The mattress was old and lumpy, and the gutters need repairing to prevent the sound of rain coming down sounding like someone urinating outside window. The bathroom although big, was a bit grubby and it was impossible to get the temperature right in the shower. On the plus side, the food was excellent!

Lovely location disappointed with room

The room needed sprucing up . Wall behind bed needed painting along with the bathroom door . Taps had parts missing and sink was cracked . Rubber bathmat needed replacing . Location was good .

We booked the Royal Victoria for it's closeness to the Snowdon Railway, I don't think it was even 300 yds, excellent. Breakfast was buffet style and I have no complaints about the food, it was brilliant. Unfortunately, our train was only allowed up half way because of storm "Amy", however while on our way home we decided to look around the slate lake and people were queuing for the Summit trip, so, my wife went and booked another trip to the summit, we couldn't see anything when we got to the top because of the mist and so windy, but, we did it :-) We will book the hotel and summit trip next year when the weather isn't going to be an issue!!!
